i had a feeling you were going to sat that ian the circuit will be starting races at 12.45 [they used to start around 1.30 last year] now that does leave some time for a qually race,it would be great to have two combe based ff1600 races at every meeting....i hope the circuit decide to do it

But they've switched to an earlier start time on the basis of the races that have already been budgeted for. They might be able to squeeze one in, but as things stand I'm not sure if the regs make any provision for this (without checking).

Racing membership for CCRC is £95 inc entry fee to one of the circuit based championships, otherwise it's £25 for marshals / spectator etc members. Entry fees vary, but I think the FFs were about £180 or so for the meeting on March 25th? Sure someone can tell you...

More membership information here http://www.castlecombecircuit.co.uk/membership.htm and more information on the circuit championships here http://www.castlecombecircuit.co.uk/circuitchamps.htm

The fee is £180, with a hefty rebate if the grid is filled (which it is for the next meeting on Easter Monday). I honestly can't remember what CCRC's position is with regard to the need to register if you plan to do only 'odd' races and are registered for another FF1600 championship.

Assuming that you are registered for the Club FF (MS) Championship we will waive the £95 membership fee for a one-off 'guest' drive, but if you intend to compete for the majority of the year you will need to take out a racing membership.

Final entry fees should work out at £150 after the rebate, assuming we get 30 starters.

I would advise entering early as the championship is proving popular this year and reserves seem to be the norm.

It does indeed, and any other UK & Ireland FF1600 championship for that matter.

Excellent start to the year full grids and rebates, but to be honest did you expect anything else combe has alway's had good grids and with the rebate system is or should attract more to want to race

The question is do you have enough time for a qualiying race in programme if the interest is there,i for one would like to see too fford races every meeting at least that way there's no reserve's and nobody misses out.
I'm sure that the way combe has been run in the past usually fairly close to the timetable this is only a minor headache if it were to happen? but of course i maybe wrong

With the weather looking dry predictions are gonna be tough the races look so competetive but who will have the overall pace?

I still think Ed has the advantage his car seemed so slippery in a straight line last year but with pat Blakeney taking the first win this he's gonna want more, then there's Matt Rivett [come on matt give us combe forum members something to cheer about]who could easily take the honours, bob higgins is another to watch out for,he was one of the best in his day and can still hold his own with the youngsters.Steven Jenson and matt darcy could well put the cat amoung the pigeons both drove brilliantly in the wet

Lets hope we have two outstanding races monday

Two races for the price of one is even better than I could imagine. At the start of the year I paid for the full championship and had my club fees waved saving £95 , then with the rebate scheme should get £270 back. At this rate Coombe will be paying me to race.
Brilliant to Steve and the team at Coombe. Very well done. I can afford the WHT , Festival and Carnival.
Coombe really are delivering on their promise.

Well done to Combe for a fantastic race day. The new qualli race was an excellent event and great value for money. First class event and worth every penny.

Must impress upon those yet to travel to Combe this year that if you are looking for lots of close racing and plenty of track time this is the place to be.
