Is there to be no more Dutch F.Renault then? I've lost track since last year, when there seemed to be some decent talents at the front (Strous, Maassen, Buurman etc). Just curious as we don't hear much about it over here.

Holland, as a motorsport nation, is just to small to run more than one single seaters series. Sad, but true. I think it’s better to have one strong formula for a strong national championship with full grids, and drivers growing to a level above this going abroad for their next step up the ladder. Nothing wrong with that and it’s a lot better than having grids with 12 cars for 2 series.

in any case the festival should be fantastic, as ever
Nelson, where did you find this entry list? Which Dutch drivers will be there for the FFF? Would be nice to see Auke competing! I have a strong feeling we could have a Dutch winner again, looking at Dennis Retera. Don’t want to meet him again as I did last year (in the gravel trap at Druids that was).

I agree entirely. But I was wondering what the current situation with Renault is? Is the series still running?

It is for 2005, with the final races coming up, but after that F Renault is finished in Holland, AFAIK. All the better for FF!

How is the quality of the top drivers in this years UKFF, compared to top drivers in other championships, like FBMW, or FF-championships in other countries? Is it still the best FF championship, regarding driver quality among the top drivers?

there are no quality drivers anymore, until next year when Oakes, Lancaster, Christodoulou, Litchfield, Sims and Martin-Dye go into cars. I do think that the top drivers in UKFF are better than the top ones in FBMW though, particularly Tappy who has really taken off in the second half of the season.

Well Dutch Chap, I dont think Auke will be competing, its going to be another guy but I agree that with Dennis and Michel we've got some good trumpcards.

Is he their only driver, or are they going to run more cars for the Festival?
I saw that Roos was competing in rounds 17&18 at Snetterton also and he seemed faster at those rounds then at Silverstone. Was that also with Nexa, or was it with someone else?
I'm just wondering how difficult it is for a team to come in at the last rounds of a season and be competitive, even if it is a top team like Nexa?
Especially with an inexperianced rookie as their only driver.

Latest count is 43 and still some on their way!
The Festival has adapted its timing so that we have two heats, two semis, a last chance race and the final.

are we going towards 50?

Damn I'm looking forward to it!!

JEB has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Remember....Two televised Formula Ford Zetec races will take place at the BRDC Walter Hayes Trophy at Silverstone on November 4-6th.

Entry Forms from: James.Beckett@brdc.co.uk
If support is good, I will run Zetec Trophy races at all BRDC race meetings in 2006.

Hi all,

I was wondering if any of you are at Brands and could give us update on how things are going in the FF1800 and FF1600 classes. While I can get results from MST, looking for info on who did what in the heats and races. I've been over a few times to catch the race, but not this year. Can't beat watching racing, than hanging out with drivers and dads at Kentagon. Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Al.

Valker should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
This season Daniel Roos won Formula Ford FIA NEZ (north european zone) championship and Swedish championship. In Finnish Formula Ford he was 4th. He's 16 years old so it was the rookie season for him.

Martin Kudzak was 8th in NEZ series and 6th in Swedish championship. 16 years also.

Sami Isohella is 18 years old and 3rd in Finnish FF Championship and 3rd in FIA NEZ. 2003 he was 6th in Finnish FF, 2004 4th in Finnish, Swedish and Nordic FF.
