it's not always easy to express one's intonation when posting, therefore the perception of the reader might be way different from the intention of the writer. This may explain this little controversy, but it's over to me However it's clear that nobody's obliged to respond to a poll which is not considered worthwhile posting. Instead of adopting expressions like "silly" or "dumb" sometimes it can be better to ignore a thread and that's all. |

I doubt the thought would even enter JPM's mind. He is a racer win or lose.

If i'm Montoya, i'd take the 3 on the nose than a 5.
Unless, we are talking about BMW cars... |

It was the way in which the question is silly that made me reply! |

you'd have to be daft to give up a win just so someone wouldn't win the championship. Of course I would carry on to take the win.

I don't credit Montoya with much pink stuff between the ears but I doubt he would be so petty. He knows that Kimi will be the one he is up against in the future - why would he give him a headstart? Montoya will need all the help he can get when/if he is paired with the Iceman. There is little point in giving the little Finn a WDC is there? Teams love World Champions (unless they are called Jacques Villeneuve)...
JPM will do his usual thing. Balls-out no brainer but often great to watch. He only does silly things in the heat of the moment, he isn't evil! |

I have been requested to close this one and I think it perhaps missed its point as Climb suggested.
