Plus the Seat Leon Cup Italia though that has probably ended and a 'cheaper' championship Coppa Italia Turismo that has a TCR class (last year at least). Plus the Academy Endurance was meant to happen but seems to have shut up shop. I count 16-18 TCR orientated championships in Europe trying to continue or be formed and they won't all survive.

Interesting. The team which ran the Hyundais first will be both in the WTCR and in the Italian cahmpionship. Scalvini is the runner-up of the 2017 championship, so I think he will be the man to beat this year.

12 cars at the moment but we surely have to add the Tecnodom Fiat Tipo, the Top Run Subarus and Max Gagliano, who tested a SEAT Leon in Imola a few days ago. In these two weeks I hope we will have a good number of announcements.

Anyone can explain me how can be possible that one team with 2 driver use 2 different manufactures?

there is no meaning! A manufacture could think that a team doesn't help and support the driver who is their car while it helps the driver who use the other different car.

Well it's not something new, but maybe one of the car is only run by the team

Regarding the manufacturers, this is not WTCR, they want only to sold cars

It's not unusual at all in national championships for teams to run multiple cars. You bring the car and you pay the money, the teams will run it

Giacomo will switch in GT-Cars and races in zhe Lamborghini Super Trofeo and maybe a bit GT3 Racing.

Gabriele Volpato confirmed on Facebook that he will drive a Leon DSG together with Cosimo Papi. So 18 cars.
