Overboost should be qualifying in the top 10 on the gridOverboost should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
1. Two of the 'returning' drivers will have disappointing seasons and its the last we'll see of them in the BTCC.

2. Mat Jackson will line up on the grid for at least one round.

3. There'll be 2 new winners this year.

4. We won't beat last year for number of winners in a season.

5. Jason Plato will part company with BMR (sacked by Warren, but not made public and usual PR spin covers the real reason he leaves) before the end of the season, after disappointing form.

pimmy should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
1. Cammish will win exactly twice as many races as Neal.
2. The independent drivers' champion will be someone who hasn't won it before.
3. No drivers will be replaced during the year.
4. All three races at Silverstone will be wet.
5. Chilton will be ranked second among the Motorbase drivers in the final overall standings and will be beaten by Tordoff by as many points as he beats Cole.

Well. 2 done. 5 done. 4 part 1 has been incorrect.

4. MGs will get more Top 10s than last year (minimum 4)
5. Ash Sutton will be top Subaru driver again
1. True, wasn't until Croft when a Subaru finished a race in the Top 3.
2. True, a landslide victory
3. False, only twice on podium
4. True, Butcher alone scored 10 of them
5. True, six wins to one Plato's podium and 256 points to 26 Plato's

Quite good predictions, maybe I'll go for more extreme next year

(My old account so this is the same person!)

1 - No. 12 points off (though arguably deserved it more)

2 - Yes. 17 this year! 4 more than 2017.

3 - No. All but TPR, I believe. A valiant effort nonetheless!

4 - Yes. Just barely: 5 points ahead of Matt Neal and 10 ahead of Cammish.

5 - No. Not even close!

2 / 5. Must try harder!

3. Oulton Park pile up at start that brought the red flag out
4. That is a yes, he did fail in defending his championship

2. Brands, Snetterton and Knockhill were wet. Not sure if you can count Rockingham too?

5. We matched the record from 93 with 6. Proctor, Cook, Simpson, Lloyd, Smiley and Cammish

4. Ash Sutton will run one of the Aussie Supercar enduro events as a co-driver.
5. Ollie Jackson will get a podium.
6. Rob Collard will be eliminated from the Championship with a grim weekend at Knockhill or Rockinghan.
7. Colin Turkington will be the most boring interviewee of the year.
8. JP will use more excuses than pretty much everybody else combined as he won't be allowed to say the team has very little budget.
9. Motorbase won't be very good.
10. The new Honda will end the season as the most competitive car ala Subaru in 2016.
1. Half right!

2. Rightish, I should have said more than one. Too conservative!

3. Wrong if the rumours are true. The old dog is trying to land a ride.

4. Wrong. But he really should.

5. True, I think he did, or was it 4th?

6. Sadly eliminated, and before I predicted. Get well bonny lad.

7. Wrong. Colin was not that boring, definitely more character and emotion seeping out.

8. No bugger bothered to interview him, well not very often. He stole the boring award from 7 above when he did.

9. Chilton was very good. Cole was decent and Tordoff should have upgraded his AA Membership.

10. It were good today, but only really today. It's not the best car yet but has great potential to become so now Dynamics have some miles on the clock.

My predictions were pretty rubbish. More #HARD than WSR 🙁

So here are this year's

2018

1) Norlin will surprise everyone with either a lot of pace, or a serious lack of it after such a good debut campaign.
2) There will be at least three permanent changes of driver this season, one of which will involve Team Hard.
3) The phrases 'best season ever' 'quality has never been higher' and 'pinnacle of UK motorsport' will all be said during the ITV coverage of the first and last rounds.
4) Dan Cammish will be in with a mathematical chance of the title at the final round, and will outscore Matt Neal come the end of the season.
5) The Subarus will win a total of one race win - and Sutton will be the man who will score it.
1 - I'm taking that. An impressive season and both drivers winning races.

2 - Heck yes.

3 - Probably happened.

4 - Nope - though he almost overtook Neal yesterday.

5 - Well I was half right in who took the win...
