I gave it a 6. There were some battles down the field. Alonso catching Button(Jenson was asleep on that one!), Kobayashi and Schumi liked having a battle, Webber got involved in some overtaking and Heidfeld took Lewis twice (admittedly Lewis's tyres were shot to pieces by second time around).
It was close battles this time, much more so that Australia. Maybe not massive amounts of overtaking. It still does seem that tyre stops have turned into the new fuel stops, if you see what I mean. |

I voted higher but I agree it was another boring race. I gave it a 5 but once the tension of rain was factored out, it was another dull affair with too many pits stops. I probably should have given it a 2. I'm sorry but I hope every DRS and KERS craps out. The overtaking seems so contrived to me. Good for Red Bull being the fastest without bullsheet!! Go Seb, make a mockery of this nonsense!
With the high results some are giving these snoozers, maybe we should rate the races from one to 20. I mean if this is a 7 or 8, how would we rate a real cracker. |

Gave it a 7.
Pretty decent race, even without rain. Very happy for Heidfeld's podium finish, and also a good result for the greatest racer in the universe. |

I thought it was better than most for quite a while and gave it a 9 as I didn't doze off, seeing that we didn't get to bed until 2am !

Nice to see someone really getting into the spirit of formula 1, changing the rules of the poll in order to rig the result.

I don't quite what to think of these new Grand Prix this season. To me it's very confusing. Too many pitstops and it's just not F1. It's all strategies when it should be outright speed. And the passing, well pretty easy with the DRS. Not really exciting is it?

The best driver/car combination (maybe the best driver and best car) is still winning. So it is just making the journey to that result more interesting.

A nice big 9 from me. I don't think I've ever seen as much overtaking at Sepang, And there have been some enjoyable races down the years at IMO Asia's second best circuit (after Suzuka). Although the battle for the lead never was as good as it could have been, (Button and Hamilton did have their pressurizing moments) the midfield battles were intruiging and the DRS provided excitement, as the first sequence of corners after the main straight let drivers who had been 'DReSsed' fight back, often succesfully.

Some bits good some bits terrible, 20 sec penalty for making it difficult to be overtaken? good job some of these prima donna's did not have to follow behind Black Jack on one of his better day's, face full of stones grass and suchlike just to add insult to injury, and 20 sec's for trying to nerf the man off!
Give it foive |

I'd give it an 8.
I'd love to see a 9 race from one of those who voted lower than 6. Can any one of those people direct me in such a feast of excitement? |

8/10. i think that was the best (mostly) dry race i can remember off the top of my head in the last 10 years.
I like Sepang, it has great undulation, and sweeping corners, even if the crowd atmosphere is a bit non existent. There was plenty of fantastic racing, with variable grip, and genuine reward and opportunity for good driving. Well done Pirelli, this is what we've been missing for a loooooooong time in f1. the only thing stopping it from a higher score was that the lead wasnt really challenged... |

Gave it an 8 - not much going on at the very front in terms of racing but plenty behind that and great to see that alternate strategies could all work reasonably well, so we didn't have the situation of everyone doing the same thing.

Gave it an 8, might have been a ten if we had gotten a little more rain.

7. Fascinating for a good hour when it looked like it could be close, and a good amount of overtaking.
Dropped marks for not being at a traditional circuit and it just lacked a little on-track action at the very front. And nice to see Kobayashi getting in to his bizarre habit of being absolutely everywhere at once. Every time it cut away from the leaders it was Kobayashi in a squabble with a different driver every time. Priceless. |
