I've been thinking about this more.....can anyone actually name a race that was head and shoulders above today's race in terms of quality? I actually can't think of one that I would easily rate above it.

Highly entertaining, had me on the edge of my seat for the entire race - 9/10!

10. Amazing race! Come to think of it, even the most boring race of this season is/will be better than a majority of races of previous seasons. It was really nice to see battles between top teams/veteran drivers vs simple overtaking of slower cars who attempt to defend their lines (which seemed to be the only type of passing going on in previous seasons).
Also, it is very refreshing to watch a race that the win is not determined by pit stops (ie my out/in lap was faster than yours). I was very very bored of that. |

I voted 9/10. The only thing left now is for those sphere's to come out of the side pods and puncture opponents tyres..You can only use them on the last lap..Seriously this is the best GP racing since the 80's

Average at this point is 8.96 - would be 8.99 without a lowly and miserable seven from someone! Not bad, but I rated it better than that!

Another disgraceful race. If this continues I can't see F1 surviving much longer. Let us all bow our heads and mourn the death of F1.

9/10, ten is reserved for something so unprecedented I have never seen it yet.

Just finished it up and I must see that it was a great race; most overtaking I have seen in F1 in years.
9 from me. |

9 from me - because if a better race comes along I want to be able to give it a deserved 10.

Close racing and passing throughout the field, passes for the lead, comebacks from the back of the grid etc. I gave it a 10, because it was superb entertainment from beginning to end

I thought it was 8.5 so gave it 9. If it had been on an interesting circuit I'd have gone for 10.
I certainly never felt like falling asleep...... |

A 9 from me. Absolutely no regrets that I went out of bed early after a very short night.

Well, I gave it a 9, and I cant recall ever voting a 9 on a race before.
I even found myself standing in front of the big screen almost too captivated to sit down to watch. I may even have shouted at the TV once or twice too. Like when Alonso had his DRS flap open at the wrong place on the track., which to me should be a punishment for improper use. But no, it seems the problems people spoke of re policing the DRS has come to light. Oh well, as long as they are consistent in their punishments I dont care. Oh and i noticed a couple of blend line infractions which the stewards seemed to miss..... ANyway in the meantime if we could have a few more like that we might even see people AT the races rather than vast grandstands with no sign of seats or people. Oh yeah, and it might help to make things like qualifying be shown on time live, rather than with a 2 hour delay. |

9 from me... made all the better as I was sitting in a grandstand on the front straight! With the big tv screens was easy to keep up with the other action, and it was properly exciting to see Lewis closing down Vettel at the end...
Seats were almost ideal, saw Vettel get a poor start, then saw Button make his mistake in the pits. I'd twigged after the second stops when Vettel didn't cover the others that something was going to happen. Now just waiting on iPlayer to download it all, so I can watch it again! |
