The Daily Mail article says it's just the pilot who's confirmed dead though.

Its all speculation until its confirmed.

Its a tragic loss whoever was flying it, but as all motorsport fans I too hope that Colin wasn't.

I can't believe this. Like, some part of me is hoping it's a dream, and I will wake up.

I'm just shocked tonight. Yet another great has perished through tragic circumstances.

It's made all the worse that if the stories are true that his young son was involved too.

shaking, can't believe it.

I mean, as long as there's the slightest doubt over it I pray he wasn't on board and is OK - but.....we're all thinking it aren't we.

He and Burnsie are/were my two real motor racing heroes as I grew up.

Eeringly similar accident to Bertie Fishers tragic death.
Colins legendary status will live forever.

Wow, forgot about that

Colin and Bertie competed against each other on the Ulster and Manx in the early 90's

One of my favourite memories of Colin was on the podium at Chester after he won the RAC Rally (now Rally GB) in 94. Tony Mason asked him "What was the hardest part of the rally?". Colin answered "The road sections"

Nothing has been made official yet folks!
Four people have been killed apparently.

POLICE STATEMENT says it is believed that Colin was aboard but identification cannot be made yet.

All the reports on the web are still saying "feared dead" apart fom one site that said Colin and son died but then go on to say feared dead (I hate guys that to this to their titles)

RIP who ever it is, I still live in hope it's not Colin.
