I noticed that this afternoon...

...and the high police presence/visibility too, including their command centre love bus...

I wonder whether they thought the Bathurst top of the hill residents were coming for the weekend

At the check in at the BBQ area today they went as far as getting people to empty car boot so they could check wheel we'll for alcohol.Totally over the top and ridiculous.Bet it will cause big traffic back up if they do it on weekend.Have never seen people being stupid with alcohol at The Creek ever.

TSR has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Congrats & Well Done to the Giz, once it started to rain it was his race to loose, he is the best in the wet.

As a Ford man I am at a loss at what has happen to FPR, after Bathurst last yr they were up and equal with 888, but this yr they have NO pace at all, they have nothing and by the looks of things the new 3 Manufactors will over take them for the rest of the yr & for a Nissan to beat us that gut wrenching.
Ford have gone from pushing a for wins to coming home behind the 4 other Manufactors

But where has the Ford speed gone?

But...

Two very cool races, loads of car control, slip sliding, crash and bang... Good fun to not know who the winners might be...

The Ovlovians were unlucky in R26, losing a wheel on the polesitter..

Nice of #7 to cut the telecast 2 mins early so they can get the all-important Sydney Weekender program underway.

Top 3's performance on the cool-down lap should make for great images, if anyone was actually there to capture them.

The crowd did swell a little for the 2 races which were fantastic. How was the traffic getting in and out? (Undecided whether I will venture out or sit on the lounge tomorrow).

It was okay today, however you would expect the Sunday crowd to be a little bigger.

It was there this year as well - it's only been the last couple of rounds that they seem to be struggling. Funny how it seems to be more of a problem for Mr. Frosty that it is for Mr. Chas. They need to extract the digit, no doubt about it but still there in the championship hunt and if they can get themselves sorted again, should be a good contest from here on in.

You might imagine the 11th hour replacement of Mr Winterbottom's engineer isnt a great look either...

Mr Mostert was throwing & catching his Falcon like it was on a piece of string.. awesome to watch!

There's just no continuity in that team with the engineering staff.

Constantly chopping and changing engineers amongst the driver pool.

I find this a little odd.. I mean SBR/Erebus comprehensively rebuilt a throwaway Benz at Bathurst last year.. you might have thought WP would put a few more of its mega resources behind this effort to get the chassis back to the track

Seems a fraction soft it all

I bet SuperCheap wont be too thrilled either...
