I went today (Saturday) was ok, better than when I went last in 1999.
The historic section was pretty fab, catching glimpses of the 1991 Williams and the classic Silk Cut Jag Lemans cars brought a smile to my face. The Autosport stage area was actually pretty quiet this year, I remember having to climb over people like some kind of riot situation the last time I was there to catch a glimpse of anyone. Listened to what David Brabham, McNish and Coulthard had to say then I wondered around the rest of the show picking up some nice senna photos and spoke to a few of the lower formulea drivers. Oh I saw rat-boy Liuzzi too, skulking around the Autosport stage... Good show in my opinion, though the £18 entry is steep, should be more like £12. Last edited by Sodemo; 15 Jan 2005 at 17:58. |

John Surtees was there on Thursday with A1 GP. Dr Jon was there, presumably doing Bands Hatch business and driver promotion. Also Marku Martin, David Leslie and Matt Neal were milling around.

the historic section was good, nice selection of old touring cars, c/d type jags, and the group c/imsa cars were fantastic. the f1 car display was a novel way to show them i thought, and i saw nicola larini wandering around i think, but nobody else seemed to recognise him.

I forgot about Dupasquier! That is one crazy Frenchman, top bloke.
I also forgot to go back and have a look at the A1 GP car. I saw its stand early on, but was on a mission. Then never got back to it, although I'd probably still be giggling about the air-box intake if I had |

By the looks of things Brundle was there on Thursday. How I missed him and his announcement I'll never know (I'm disappointed!) I did see Tim Harvey walking around with a press crew and Luke Hines at the Seat stand talking with someone (they were busy and I didn't have a book or a pen otherwise I'd have got their signatures) John Watson was also present on the Autosport stand. I saw him walk on then listened to him as I had a go on GT4 on the Nissan stand.

Can i hijack this thread for a moment and ask, what years could Alesi be found at the show?
