Watching Bruno in CART for the last couple of years I can't really see any team wanting him. He has great speed but he is rather sulky, which I think overrides the speed. He gets all bent out of shape if things don't go his way and that effects his pace.

Ralf isn't on the same level as JPM or even his brother, He has great equipment but is a lackluster driver, Webber on the other hand drives second rate stuff and shine well in it, he needs some more experience here or just a BMW or a Maclaren

If Frankie wants a racer, then going by today he saw 19 better racers than Jock Moneygrabber...

Ralf just made a pitstop from 4th which put him to 9th..if the race hadnt been stopped..the others ahead of him would all have to stop again which would have out him up to 3rd or 4th..a much better effort that those who stuffed it in the wall. |

I voted Button, logical if he's a British driver, but also Heidfeld and obviously Fisichella deserve the drive.
But Ralf could stay in 2004... Last edited by Mekola; 6 Apr 2003 at 20:23. |

Another pretty pathetic race from Ralfy he got absolutley wasted by his fellow michilin runners early on and was lucky to get away with an early spin. He may have lucked out from when he pitted but ninth is no less than he deserves given the effort and commitment he put in.

Another name into the fray is Alex Wurz, replacing a German driver with a Germanic one (an Austrian at least). Wurz has oodles of talent and it's pretty obvious he's keen to return to racing.

Funnily enough..I have a clip of Pablo hitting the tyre barriers and Ralf going on to cross the finish line..albeit not in the points due to the Alonso`s incident. I think that says it all.

So Micky the Schu had a worse drive than his brother today did he? It seemed to me that if you were unlucky to get caught as a load of water came off the grass there wasn't a lot they could about it.

The water didnt mysteriously come on to the course when Pablo appeared-it was there all along and those who finished the race were smart enough to be cautious through the area.
You can try and twist as many words around as you want..it wont change the result. |

Read some geography books pal! Car after after car had gone through there with no problem before Pablo went. After he had done that everyone would have been told to take it easy yet even the "rainmaster" with all his experiance, ability and that info managed to ditch it there as well. Now, there is grass verge on the inside of that corner. The water (unlike on tarmac) does not run straight over, it soaks in until it gets to the level where the grass is saturated. At this point more water will run across the track than had previously been there. If you are unlucky enough to be the first guy to come across this you will be caught out, just as Montoya, Button, Wilson, Verstappen, Webber and even Micky were. A supreme drive by these drivers in appalling conditions earlier on can not be discredited because they got caught out by geography and poor luck. Ralf was lacklustre at best and while Montoya went from 9th to 3rd at the start, Ralf managed to go from 6th to 10th. Mind you, I'm sure he was just saving something or other.

In all fairness Ralf finished the race while JPM did not. Certainly no one will fault those who went off, but Ralf and others managed to stay on which clearly says something.
What do you guys think about JPM charging to 2nd, challanging for the lead and dropping off? Did he use up the tires, as was suggested that he complained his rears were gone? I'm telling you Bourdais is the man to watch. That guy is one of the most impressive I've ever seen. Da Matta should stay where he is, he's with a good team that will only get better. Your blind bias is always amusing Damon!
Ralf went upto 3rd and would have finished there had it not been for the red flag, Pablo on the other hand went into the wall and before that succesfully ruined his tyres by running them too hard, something which was picked up by ITV. Pablo should be thanking his lucky stars for the red flag..thats the only reason he`s clinging to a 2 point advantage over Ralf. |
