For those interested - the race was cancelled. Why? Apparently the work on the track (are there some changes to be made again after a few years) took way too long if my italian isn't mistaken ...

Wondered what had happened to this story-glad I did not bother to organize any travel.Someone said Sicily had three circuits-only others I recall were Targa Florio & Giro da Sicilia which finished decades ago
