Where's the "Kids have control of the 2 Sky boxes, so there's NO chance at all" option??

I will probably watch most of the races (which ever ones i can catch) on normal ITV. And i doubt i'll go to any, never have done, probably won't this year.

Your kids would watch motorsport by choice though - just in case they heard "Daddy on the television"

I'm stuck in a 4-channel time-warp, in an area which can't receive Freeview, so it'll be late-night highlights for me (a feeble 25 minutes for the first round) unless it can be watched online in any quality on a 512Kb broadband connection.

After not going to Brands today, and having to suffer ITV's "coverage", i'll be subscribing to setanta.

We hastily signed up to Setanta on Friday having not realised that Motors had pulled the plug. Have spent 10.00 - 18.00 today in front of the TV watching some cracking motorsport (FBMW and 1st FRenaults in particular), so money well spent! We had cancelled our NASN (for the NASCAR) subscription so getting that back is a bonus. £15 per month isn't too bad.

One (tongue in cheek) complaint - why did we have to put up with a lunch break? Don't you guys ever think of the viewer??

We'll be marshalling at the Oulton round - and I certainly expect to get a lunch break there!

Well having been to Brands Hatch and recorded the ITV3 coverage I thought it was a marked improvement on last years, we had a good introduction to the championship, and Louise Goodman and Ted Kravitz are a positive addition to the TV as well.

Shelagh - does Setanta follow much the same idea as Motors in terms of their coverage ?

Similar, but it's much better picture quality - and it's in widescreen.

And they didn't disappear for a long DTM break in the middle of the day, missing races while they were gone.

And they had a highlights show in the evening, although I didn't see it as I was watching IRL on Sky at the time.

the only thing i know for sure is that i aint subscribing to Setanta sports

it might be better quality than motors tv, but last year it cost nothing extra to watch all the races, and now its 180 quid a year.. thats some price rise

I dont have a channel that shows live races. Speed Channel shows races but not until later in the year.

Ended up subscribing to Setanta for Nascar....and found got all BTCC stuff too. For Nascar and BTCC don't think Setanta is bad value.

Ali Rushforth should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
i put setnta on yesterday, haven't subscribed and thought "brillient they've dropped the extra subscription" saw all the pre race interviews on the grid, saw the mechanics leave the grid. As soon as the pole sitter left the line to start his green flag lap, the channel went!!!

gutted!!!

rang sky to enquire about subscribing and was told it was an extra 15 quid a month. as much as I love the btcc, i refuse to pay nearly 60 quid a month for the privalige.

I ended up watchin live lap times on the mst website.

can someone please let me know where you can watch the races on the net.

I thought about subscribing to Setanta, but like Ali I can't justify the cost. I'm not really into NASCAR and with a minimum 12 month subscription would end up with 6 months of sport I have no interest in. Still miss the coverage when I read about a full Clio field though.
