I'd say the fact the team had failed to do any preperation on the car, so it was not fit to run, together with their demands for additional sums, above the contractually agreed amount may have had a influence on the situation.
Effectively the team were in breach of contract. |

Ticket prices are a bit more reasonable, £34 for race day.

It’s also the first major meeting with the new catchfencing at Paddock Hill Bend, which is no doubt going to surprise (and infuriate) a lot of people!

If we don’t get a first-time winner this weekend, when was the last season that happened? (It may well be recent it feels very unusual!)

Available, Tony can't afford him. I've heard from people internally the Knockhill fee he requested was £25k and after driving the car it went up to £35k per weekend. Rob was not impressed with neither the team nor the machinery.
It wasn't Nic's decision. One of the sponsors in the package the team brought to the table didn't cough up. The team were repeatedlu strung along until it was obvious the delay wasn't a ''banking problem'' like they'd been told. |

So the team, not only failed to provide a car that was safe and fit to run, but demanding money above what was agreed in the contract.
That is not how a reputable professional organisation behaves. |

Creesy on Facebook hunting for a race engineer for this weekend.
He doesn't say it's for himself specifically, but it would not be a surprise if it was..... |

They were obviously strapped for cash then if they could afford to pay Huff £25k for one weekend!

Gonna be an interesting end to the season. Sutton can still lose it if he has some major problems and Tingram gets a win and a couple of other top fours. Anything can still happen. Especially if this year's British weather plays a part

Does it affect the view from the Paddock Hill grandstand or is it only a factor if you are sat trackside sorta post apex in the dip (so to speak)?

It runs from top of Paddock hill all the way to the Druid's bridge. It's further back from the previous fence and they have felled the trees in the dip to accommodate. I haven't been there since it was installed but have seen pictures.

Obviously safety is a priority. From what I’ve seen it shouldn’t impede the view of the spectators too much

Looks like it'll make the amateur photographers life a lot harder.
The inside of Druids is going to be impossible to watch from without being clonked on the head by a giant lens! |

That's possibly true, but at least you are unlikely to have great big tents and gazebos blocking your view which seems to have become a bit of a tradition at Croft, and to a lesser extent at points around Oulton. |

I can’t wait for qualifying tomorrow. I won’t be up close watching it like last year, but will still be fun to see them go round
