i think a fine seems fair rather than relegating him ten places

Some sanity at last. I'm all for improving driving standards, but picking on (the wrong) Schuey for that was silly and the punishment was far too severe. A fine (quite a big one by FIa standards on individual driers isn't it?) seems more fitting for this particular faux pas.
Roll on the rest of the season. |

Why is Kimi being investigated by the German GP stewards?
Whats he done wrong - tried to overtake someone!!! The worlds going mad. |

This didn't appear to be more than a racing incident to me - there was no deliberate act that I was aware of - so I'm glad he hasn't been penalised 10 places - there have been far worse things happen in the past that have gone totally unpunished - consistency not there as usual.
Do you think the team will pay the fine or make the driver pay it ? Bearing in mind it is Frank and Patrick - I suppose it has to be the latter ! |

I think it was a fair decision giving Ralf a fine rather than relegate him on the grid as there have been far worse incidents let go in previous years.

Presumably it may be reasonable to draw the conclusion that Mimi was coming from behind, he would be looking forward and therefore was better placed to see what the drivers in fornt of hm were doing. |

When Ralf (rather slowly) swerved to the left, Kimi was already alongside Rubens!

It seems a little stupid to me that Ralf wasnt penalised (not that) but the fact that Kimi has come under fire now.
How they can find Kimi at fault by saying that he could have used up the grass on the side of the side of the track, whilst they dont penalise Ralf for not using up the TRACK! although i doubt Kimi will lose the 10 positions, it just seems odd EDIT: And yes, as Jetsetter said, the teams shouldnt be able to get their lawyers into court, and should just take the punishment, as it is given. I disagree-if the fia can't make a proper decision then it needs to be fought.

In part F1 is lacking here because there are (still) different people involved in each race. To a certain extent it has been decided, but perhaps not well enough, or thought into some of the detail is missing. Maybe a more concerted effort for next year that learns from some of the things that happen in the past? For now we are stuck with what we have got. |
