Exactly, Fortec only have a successful history in full 'spec' cars, nothing with much in the way of freedom. Whether that is down to the 2 or 3 chief engineers they have had or something else like not investing in car programmes I don't know.
Car drop was partly down to silly FIA decisions and the billionaires giving away free/subsidised drives. Others didn't like the idea of paying full price when half the grid was paying very little. |

If those free drives are going away wouldn't that just make the situation worse?

Regardless of what it is, if you subsidise a dying economy you only create short run benefits with long term effects worse than those initially

I live the way Autosprout says Mazepin thought likely to drive for Hitech. Being as it is his teamni would have thought it fairly likely!
In similar news, we may see Laliberte line up st van Amersfoort!! |

So, looking back at your first list, of the four drivers announced so far you got three at the wrong teams and one in completely the wrong category! 0/4, 0%, impressive!! |

Lando will deliver. Prema watch out! Mucke and Motopark are weirdly quiet. |

Jake Hughes confirmed at Hitech.
http://www.motorsport.com/eurof3/new...season-860198/ Really looking forward to this after his performance in Hockenheim and Macau this year! Also, Maximilian Gunther basically confirmed he's staying with Prema for another year in an interview with Bild. Same article mentions Mick Schumacher as his teammate. |

Tadasuke Makino, top prospect of the Honda Formula Dream Project (HFDP), has joined Hitech GP for the 2017 season alongside Aron, Mazepin & Hughes.
http://www.autosport.com/news/report...to-european-f3 From what I saw of him in Super GT, All-Japan F3 and Macau, Makino might be the best Japanese prospect to come around in a long, long, LONG time. |
