Doesn't matter, FIA would give it twin 99,9mm restrictors, 600kg weight decrease, bigger fuel tank, 2m wide rear wing & unlimited supply of tyres.

And a bottle of expensive champagne.

Well, just in case, here's some official articles on the Camaro GT3 http://www.endurance-info.com/versio...ance-9170.html

and the Gallardo GT3 http://www.worldcarfans.com/11201023...CarFans.com%29

Both developed at least partly by Reiter

camaro is too much heavy in my opinion, 1300kg was good for first generation of GT3 cars, but the new produced gt3 cars should have a weight of around 1250kg or less to have some chance to be still highly competitive after a massive bop (infact audi did the r8 lms ultra most of all to make lose weight to the old r8 lms, the same is doing the mercedes with the 2012 model of their sls gt3, even if is hard that will have a weight less of 1300kg). Nothing to say about the engine, the usual insanely large and low rev/high torque american v8, God bless the TCS.
Watching the gallardo i think that all manufacter for their 2012 models will use that kind of super splitter! they'll shift most of the downforce to the front of the car hoping to gain a bonus of downforce that the remaining bodywork can't generate to improve the handling of the car. Mercedes and mclaren used this spec in 2011 and at least for the sls the trick worked.

How many cars need to be made before you can build a GT3 version? Ginetta is only building 50 of these a year.

(I still would love to see this on track.)

Plus that Camaro looks nasty. (In the good way) Now someone give it a livery that works and put it out on track.

Do you mean the RCZ Racing Cup? That car only has 250 hp and is comparable to other spec racing series (e.g., Mini Challenge, Seat Leon Supercopa, VW Scirocco Cup, ...).

What if Peugeot made this into a production car?

Sorry about the double post, but what is going to happen to the Fast Forward Motorsport Camaro now that the Sareni Camaro is nearly finished?

Fia GT 3 Camaro Fasforward-Motorsport

The Fia GT 3 committe autorized Fasforward-Motorsport to homologated the Camaro see below link from the Fia publications.

http://private.fia.com/web/fia-public.nsf/vchp/302/$FILE/GT3_Chevrolet%20Camaro_24.06.2011_67.pdf?Openelement

And as far as I've been able to check at the Fia publications there is no request or permission to Reiter/Sareni for the homologation of the Camaro
Fia Gt gt 3.

Wondering about the end of this story ,

I don't see any problem with letting them together. It would be interesting to see which one is better developed.

With Reiter behind one of the cars, thats a good start for that particular project, no idea about the other though.

I really like that. With the Camaro homologated for GT3 is it also allowed to run in GT1 aka World GT?

Any GT3 car can run GTWC provided it's homologated for international racing I think. I don't see them running into any problems with the number of road cars built.

It probably could be, although the car is new and the team partnering with Reiter only want to run in Blancpain or European GT3 (one or the other cant remember which).

From Yaco's website, they only want to run in the ADAC GT Masters and the European GT3 Championship if possible.
However, on Sareni United's website they have Asia and Brazil listed for 2012 and Australia for 2013.

Just noticed on Sareni's website, in legal section, Swiss Racing Team gets mentioned at the bottom.
