Got close in the end, proves you don't need overtaking for an exciting race, just something to keep you interested. Well done to both the Honey Badger and Nico and Kimi back on form. But Seb was even more impressive

Hamilton never got it together, but it seems he doesn't mind so much anymore and so Nico is now looking like he's going to get that title that looked like it had gone begging mid season

When you watch a four hour V8 Supercar race (which ends with the team taking the **** out of Ingall after he spun) then turn over to F1 several hours later, it really emphasises how ho-hum the Sky Sports commentating team is. While Martin Brundle is okay and his technical knowledge is welcome, the other guy (is it Simon?) is a bit of a plonker. Sometimes he sounds a newbie to F1, often mixing drivers up, lame sense of humour, although Martin doesn't bring much humour at all anyway. Sometimes it sounds like he's about to fall asleep.

But Simon and Ted Kravitz (equally as annoying) going on about Nico Rosberg's pitstop taking an extra 2 seconds like the world was about to end - sometimes they get a little excited over the tiniest of non-events.

I think they need a bit more manliness. Bring in Mark Webber and Eddie Irvine or something for some guest commentary. Di Resta ain't cutting it either.

It's a sad reflection on the race that I really can't find much to comment on except the Bernie video. Definitely a flash of petulance as a cameraman got in the way / trod on his toe. I'm not surprised Bob Fearnley was laughing.

Motor racing at any level to be truly called 'exciting' must always have overtaking and plenty of it. It's what racing drivers are made of.

No, because if we knew that the car behind was just gonna passed, it wouldn't be the same. Uncertainty breeds excitement. Look at Senna and Mansell at Monaco or Alonso and Schumacher at Imola

And seeing the marshall on the track with the field bearing down on him, time for better training all the over the world

By all accounts, that wasn't the fault of the marshal, but was an error made by whom ever was controlling the safety car, and called it in whilst a marshal was still clearing away debris from the incident.
