I read at the STCC homepage that some one-car teams plan on expanding to two cars, like Peugeot did this season. I guess that would be Honda, Opel and perhaps Picko Troberg Racing or Alfa?

Honda and Opel are the most likely. Opel running their old Astra in the privateers cup and Honda expanding with another Accord.

And Sandström won't drive for Flash next year. He was offered a Carrera Cup ride, so I guess that means that there will be two Flash Engineering Porsches next season (Ros+Sandström)? Sandström seems to focus on starting his own team for STCC next season.

Also, Dave Björk won't drive for Picko next year.

CHEVROLET IN STCC
Today Nicklas Karlsson and NIKA Racing announced that they had secured a two-year deal with Chevrolet Sweden. The team will race at atleast six STCC weekends in 2007 and the full 2008 season.

Great news

So next season 9 Chevrolets?

RML: x3 2007 cars (WTCC)
Maurer Motorsport: x2 2005 cars (probably WTCC, otherwise Procar)
Chevrolet Denmark: x2 2006 (?) cars (DTC)
Chevrolet Sweden: x2 2006 (?) cars (STCC)

Or will have Chevrolet Denmark and Sweden new 2007 cars?

The Danish Chevy team, Perfection Racing, have confirmed Pontus Mörth and Jesper Carlsen in 2 "updated" 2006 cars.

I might be all wrong here, but how many Lacetti's did Chevy build for 2006? Three (the ones in WTCC) or four (spare car)? I fear that only three -06'es are avalible, which would mean a one-car Swedish team...

Or perhaps Chevy had many shells/cars partially prepped for customer cars. B/c since none appeared in '06, they're now building them up and selling them off to teams in '07?

That news is good, but certainly suprises me why Volvo is incr their support now? OTOH, we don't know what the financial/technical support was before or after this announcement.

At least it has increased. I guess it is the "green" E85 bioethanol that Volvo find interestning and want to push, etc.

In October there were only two chevy 2006 cars for sale .So as
two cars for DTC where confirmed quite soon ,there are only 2007 cars available now.

Ekblom and Rudholm confirmed at WCR/BMW in new 320si cars. However, I read:

Quote:
Tre nya BMW.bilar av modell 320si E90 är inhandlade och teamet har en total budget på 16 MSEK exklusive köpet av bilarna.
Three cars? Will they run all three or use it as a spare car (much like PTR/Vauxhall did in 2001)?

Six or seven tracks... Hm.

Karlskoga
Knutstorp
Mantorp Park
Sturup

should all be in. Now, the two/three extra ones?
Anderstorp (likely? Good facilities)
Våler, Norway (but the spectators doesn't seem to turn up there?)
Airport track

They should put Brands Hatch in, that would really be something

I think that Airport track wont happend and instead is likely to be Kinnekulle ,one of the very best tracks in Sweden IMO.
