Just noticed that they have even managed to broadcast races that didnt happen.
Newcastle wasnt run this year. Maybe I picked up last years broadcast schedule.
However this year certainly will have, by year end, showed live coverage on the 7 Network for Darwin, Townsville, Bathurst, Gold Coast and Adelaide.

Hoping it either rains or somehow the tyres go off before the fuel load is burnt off, otherwise we could be in for one of the most processional Bathursts there has been, based on the racing so far this seaosn

Are not all their matches shown on FTA? Excuse my ignorance but I don't really watch football - I just thought it'd be a bit weird given how popular it is

Just over 50% of AFL matches and less for NRL are on FTA.

The pay TV games are not shown on the FTA channels in highlights, unlike the Supercar rounds.

Blockbuster games never are, AFL blames multiple games being on at the same time.

No. A round of AFL consists of nine matches.

Usually, four of those matches are live on Channel 7. The remaining 5 are live on Fox Footy.

The five matches on Fox are not shown on Channel 7.

If a Supercars race is not shown live on 7, it will be shown on the Saturday or Sunday night on 7.

Good on them. Might just about be Boost's last hurrah before (supposedly) withdrawing from any sponsorship in supercar racing at the end of this season. Glad to see that they're still going hard, right down to the end.

Will there be 10x Ford Mustangs ready for practice 1 next Thursday?

This story presuming it is correct, suggests there will be as few as 10x GT3 spec crankshafts arriving from ‘across the world’ for fitment into the Ford V8Supercar engines.

Then there is video around of a parts supplier loading a shed load of engine bottom end parts into hand luggage for personal delivery to Australia…

Seriously… are they actually that poor a state ?

Bathurst’s date has been in the books at least a year… and the prep of the largest aspect of vehicle performance remains a massive unknown less than a week out…

If all these boys and pieces are multiple sourced.. what is the homologated specification of the Ford V8Supercar engine? Is it possible the Chev teams could protest a Ford that is somehow too fast…? It was done before… 1988 wasn’t that long ago, and most of the players are still around…

Why are they (teams, media, fans…) all so quiet on this?

I read a suggestion that it might be a bad batch of crankshafts.... all the engines that failed had recently been rebuilt (I guess with new crankshafts).

My understanding also is that spare engines recently rebuilt are using refurbished old / previous (ie used) cranks that are considered known quantities.

The bit about the used cranks for spare engines is not new info, rather info at least a week old so may have become a not happening thing if they managed to source and modify enough new Mustang GT3 cranks as being used for the main (non spare) engines.

Let's not forget 2000, the whole mountain looked like the Somme - everyone and everything heading out on Monday was covered in mud. Water 1.5 metres deep at Murray's certainly concentrated the mind!
