Well, they didn't have much of a chance to rack up a lot of crash damage this weekend. 2 DNFs with 6 laps in race 1, 1 lap in race 2.

Perti Kuismannen won both races in his Viper GTSR. I'll link to the full results once they have been posted.

Qualifying results for tomorrow's BRCC 3 hour race in Zolder

There's a typo in the results, though: Corvette is a C6 not a C7.

In 2003 carsport America entered the Zonda for Hezemans, Kumpen and Hart, the car terir after ten laps, in 2004 a second attempt was made by force one racing for drivers Alliot, Halliday but the car did not start the race.
So it must have been the 2003 hezemans car you saw testing at the air field strip.

Wow - I got to see that car at Sebring for all of 2 or 3 laps. Such disappointment.

So International GT Open starts this week. Entry list looks disapointing. I thought this series was good to see how GTE and GT3 cars perform against each other without any major rules and restrictions in place. 2013 was very good for that. But where the heck are all the Ferrari GTE cars. Ditto for no Aston Martin. Bai Tech McLaren leaving must have hurt too. None of them anymore. But you got to hand it to V8 racing with keeping those GT1 Corvettes running after years and years of miles on them now. So yeah at least to start of 2014 it looks more like a pro-am GT3 series with a couple old GT1 Corvettes thrown in there.

I've seen that you talked about the IberGT, that competition doesn't exist anymore.

There are a new "GT competition" called Michelin Endurance Series, with regulations close to the MSA British Endurance series. It's a competition with just 4 meetings (3 hours each one).
This was the result of the first one:
http://www.vlineorg.com/newsdata/868...arra_13_04.pdf
Spanish motor competitions are dead, mostly because the bad work of the spanish motosport federations.

Interesting that we see GT Open in the "lower leagues thread" but I guess that is no coincidence after all! I might be too drastic but right now it looks more like a Ferrari Super Copa with Vettes winning
As much as I like GT1 cars in general: It's a bit akwark to balance the concepts.

But driver quality is not too shabby: lots of strong GT drivers.

A nice field for the Italian GT season opener this weekend at Misano.

Things were looking pretty bad for them for a couple of years, good to see the series get back on its feet.

If you take out the Ginettas and the Lotus (both of which are lightweight cars pretty much by definition) it's only around 200kg...

But then, you only have to change 4 letters to turn 'poop' into 'beer'...

Depending on the Beer, it only takes 4 hours to turn it into poop.

Was reading the Italian GT coverage on DSC and noticed the team that won one of the races was BMS Scuderia Italia. They really have dropped off the radar haven't they?

Speaking of Asia GT Series, any news of the other GT series in Asia, which made up of ex-Super GT teams? I don't know if the name is Speed Series or something, but I haven't heard of them since the announcement.
