Note the race is 90 minutes earlier than planned due to the threat of rain.

Did not see it mentioned so apologies if it has, but regs also mandate a minimum gap of 4hours between qualy finish and race start.

They are right on that limit now. In effect they cannot delay qualifying start even by 15 minutes if the rain forecast to happen at 7:00 am is severe.

Yesterday everyone was complaining it was in favor of Lando, and now we're complaining when the delayed red would've helped Max?

And it has stopped, Red flagged again, leaving Bottas, Verstappen, Perez, Sainz and Gasly in the drop zone......Looks like Stroll caused this red flag.

Perhaps the Indycar qualifying red flag rule would be fairer.

Driver was ok, car was covered by double yellows after T1. Anyone who started a lap after the crash would have lost that lap anyway, and anyone on a hot lap was allowed to finish it.

Nothing conspiratorial about it - in fact, if they'd thrown it earlier it would have been far more contentious.

Indeed. I've been very impressed by the way the weekend has been managed so far by FIA/F1 and the circuit officials - light years away from some of the farcical events of the past.
