FPV8U should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
If the #9 RPM deal was to fall through due to lack of sponcer $ and Ambrose was to decide on V8SC what team to we think would be at the top of his list?

FPR or SBR or Neither?

By comparison when Ford were throwing cash around like it was going out of fashion it was reported Lowndes was on about $1 million. When Whincup resigned with 888 last year it was reportedly for $600k a season.
You mixing Marcos' team winnings with Lowndes salary ?

Marcos has racked up winnings of $US2.47m this season, but its stretching things to suggest a comparison with a wage paid to a V8 pilot.

No doubt here that Jeff Gordon thinks Ambrose's car isn't too flash. I'd be really surprised if he doesn't land a decent ride for next year in NASCAR.

To me it sound like it could go either way (staying or returning to Australia).

So where would Mr Ambrose go if he wanted to come home?

Relatively Easy
- FPR Ford #6 (driver out of contract at the end of 2010) - Budget?
- BRR Holden #10 (driver out of contract at the end of 2010) - Budget?
- KR Holden #11 (driver out of contract at the end of 2010) - Budget?
- KR Holden #16 (driver out of contract at the end of 2010) - Budget?
- Britek Holden #21 (driver out of contract at the end of 2010) - Budget?
- HRT Holden #22 (driver out of contract at the end of 2010) Can Slot straight in
- LDR Holden #30 (contracted driver punted midseason) - Budget?
- GRM Holden #34 (driver out of contract at the end of 2010) - Budget?
- JRR Ford #47 (driver out of contract at the end of 2010) - Budget?
- RNR Ford #55 (driver has the option to retire at the end of 2010) - Budget?

Difficult But Not Impossible
- SBR Ford #4 (driver required to leave early in contract?) - Budget?
- DJR Ford #17 (driver required to leave early in contract?) - Budget?
- PMM Holden #39 (driver required to leave early in contract?) - Budget?
- PMM Holden #51 (driver required to leave early in contract?) - Budget?

Expensive/Gamechanging
- 888 Holden #888 (driver required to leave early in contract?) Budget?

No Chance/Not Likely
- 888 Holden #1 (driver contracted)
- HRT Holden #2 (driver contracted)
- TDR Holden #3 (driver family owns team)
- FPR Ford #5 (driver contracted)
- KR Holden #7 (driver family owns team)
- BJR Holden #8 (driver contracted)
- SBR Ford #9 (driver contracted)
- FFF Ford #12 (driver family owns team)
- BJR Holden #14 (driver contracted)
- KR Holden #15 (driver family owns team)

Robert Ryan should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Saw this on the US NASCAR sites.
Quote:
Among those looking is Ambrose, who announced last month that he was parting ways with JTG Daugherty Racing at the end of the year. RPM officials have had talks with Ambrose, who has strong ties with Ford. But if RPM cannot find sponsorship, Ambrose could end up back home in Australia with the backing of Ford to race in his homeland.

No you guys are way off the mark, Marcos will be returning to the Apple Isle and taking up a drive of a Tassie AMCA car at Carrick Speedway for the usual Boxing Night meeting.

Marcos to drive at Homebush

A trial run for next year with FPR perhaps?

The Story

Where is Glen Watkins?

No chance, if the phone is ringing as much as he says....

He's just bought himself out of the JTG contract, so he's gonna end up massively out of pocket if he doesn't get a new NASCAR deal.

Pretty gutsy move. If it works, he'll be in a much better position to win and probably a lot wealthier!

Mr Stone & Mr Stone are right now winging their way to the US... as part of an Irwin Tools promotion at Bristol Motor Speedway

Wouldnt it be nice if they also caught up with that Tasmanian bloke without a gig, with all the Irwin people who write the cheques in attendance, and sign him to the Irwin branded #4 car for season 2011 and beyond?

Fact, fallacy, fantasy?
