Maybe, a little bit longer race needed. 70 min instead of 55. Different perfomance of differents tyres complects, a little bit more time and we could see some overtakes on track, not in pitstop.

I think, Klasse 1 silhouettes are always running at the limit. You just can not go faster and can not wait for an error from the driver ahead because all of them are professionals. I really don't know what could help. They need to build engines and chassis (suspensions) with different characteristics to suit different types of corners. But even in this case there would be some problems. As in FIA GT1. Not about arcade games of course. For example, today Aston was catching Nissan at speed turns but let it go at straights. And those two were worse than Corvette at hard bracking but didn't give any chance. Maybe, the cars become more reliable and less nervous. They just don't let drivers to make any mistakes. And pilots run as TGV operators. Fast and as by rails.

Yesterday's race was a letdown from the races one and two, and from the qualifying. I wonder why in the blue hell Aufrecht still thinks that his series is the biggest thing in touring car racing? In terms of racing it certainly isn't. I wonder why they didn't copy a thing or two from V8 Supercars. I remember that the organizers praised the series after Opel went out, saying something like, "The V8 Supercars have also two marques, and they are fine."
And we still don't know jack about the new regulations. I thought yesterday that they were going to reveal some aspects of it, as the ARD's coverage went until 3.35pm. But they just brought some reports on the Scirocco race, and the mille miglia. So no news regarding the regulations for 2012. Worse, I don't know why I keep watching the DTM. I guess that's because they are the "home series". |

Fingers crossed there'll be some better action in 2012. But I don't want DTM to become a "monoformula" with just different brand names on the top of the engine. It should be a little bit more engineering than Superstars. More like Groupe 5. There's already ADAC Procar, so there's no need in onother pure "touring car championship". There'll be no sense in it.
