I'm no expert in English but it doesn't sound right to me. I'd use 'an' instead of 'a' when preceding a word or initial beginning with 'r'. Its picky, but if it is incorrect, you'd expect it to have been proof read before going to print.

Yeah, it doesn't sound right. But surely you'd preface the abbreviation with the correct word that would be used in the unabbreviated form?
I could be talking rubbish, as usual. |
