lifted from the form is pretty clear - 12+ in the duty, but must have been graded by the time you apply. Of course if heavily oversubscribed that might be a differentiator?
Application may only be made for one of the above categories and this should be your normal graded role. (Note the Pit and Startline groups have been merged for 2012). You must have marshalled at least 12 days in your nominated duty to be considered for selection. Applications will not be accepted from marshals who have trainee status at the time of application. |

As a deputy chief flag marshal for the British Grand Prix I can assure you that any marshal that has done 40 flag days has never been refused to my knowledge.. Unless of course you can prove me wrong.. We try to treat every application in the same fair way and comments like yours above are very negative .. Roy S |

[KQUOTE=Steve Milward;2960708]Is there somewhere I can find out which permit a meeting was held under. Tried looking at BARC and BRSCC documents but can't find anything
Any help appreciated.[/QUOTE] Permit type is included in the race programme and usually in finals. If you look at last years thread lots of the questions are answered, if not post up details of the meeting and someone should be able to help. |

Cheers for the info.
Being my 1st time applying I hadn't even thought about writing down all this info as the year went on, lol. Now I know, I will remember to write down the info or as someone else has done put it on my computer for future reference . |

Think I may have messed up my form which I just popped in the post this evening.
I've done 16 days so far this year (2 to go) and am graded as a Track Marshal (green). I've done a mixture of flag (12 days) and incident (4 days +2 next month) this season, mainly as I did majority incident last year and wanted to get a good spread of experience before going for an upgrade next year. On my form I volunteered for course/incident for the GP because I thought that if I wasn't graded as a flag marshal I wouldn't be able to volunteer for that role. Does this mean that my form will be rejected? Should I have volunteered for flag instead? |

Since you have a 'track' grade, you are qualified to flag. As you have done 12 days flag this year, then an application for flag should be considered. I suggest you get in touch with whoever you sent your form to (Chris Hobson, BMMC, ?), and explain. I'm sure that it can be sorted out. Last edited by Guinness2702; 27 Sep 2011 at 20:45. |

Thanks for the advice. I'll get in touch with Chris Hobson and ask if my original form can be disregarded and complete another volunteering for flag, which would have been my preference anyway.

Britcar 24hour Classification
Can anyone assist by advising what classification the Britcar 24 hour last weekend was run under - I've been through the program backwards and forwards and I honestly can not find a reference to permits at all ?

A series can run under a clubman permit if it is a series (rather than a registered championship) and all members have to belong to a particular club. |

You'll usually find them at the top of the marshals and officials page.

Hi all , I've got a question for you. I'm currently graded as a track marshall (green), but this season I have mainly flagged and have done 12 days flagging. Can I apply for flags for the GP with a track grade, or do I need to be graded as flag to be accepted as flag ?
