Scott was amazing today like he has been half the races this season. Pretty amazing what your second season in single seaters can do for you. he and Jimmy came from very similar backgrounds, and their second year in the series has shown just how good of a job Scott has done. Jimmy has improved quite a bit too but the amount of skill Scott has shown from the get-go has been pretty amazing

Race Result:
That was Scott McLaughlan's third win of the season and well deserved. For once the start of the race didn't turn into a fiasco and as it settled down, it looked like it might be caution free but it wasn't to be, as Vee Kay stuffed Jimmie Johnson into the wall. After today's race Will Power still leads the driver's championship, with 523 points, going into the final round at Laguna Seca next weekend. Josef Newgarden's race went sour after pitting for blacks. He finished 8th but is still 2nd in the championship, on 503 points. Scott Dixon who finished 3rd, is 3rd in the championship and also on 503 points but Newgarden's 5 race wins put him ahead of Dixon. Marcus Ericsson, who finished 11th and race winner Scott McLaughlin are mathematically still in the hunt, with 484 and 482 points. |

Absolutely dominant from Scotty. Good win and decent show. Seemed to be some racing in the middle of the pack, but not much to be done w/ Scotty.
Love this track!! |
