1. The hard way, only for the professionals. You can press the "O", "R", "I", etc keys, one at a time, after the [ quote]. You may add dramatical effects by making use of the [ i] [ /i] tags as Wrex hinted. 2. Or the easy way. For the lazzy guys. You may notice a "quote" button in the right corner of each post; once you click on it, the software located at the server automatically opens a "reply" window and adds the content of the post, the "orriginally posted by " words and all the necessary VB code. Here's the schematic: |

Quote:
Press the quote button above the desired post (as I've done with yours). Bla bla bla anti TGF this, monty is bla bla bla and when your are finished, copy and past your entire post. Then hit the back key so your back in the thread. Find the next post and use the quote button again. When the new reply window comes up, "paste" your original post above the new quote. Quote:
BTW, the laces lesson has been cancelled. I'm switching to slip-ons. |

Aww.... that was not part of the plan Wrex... Anyway, a mug'o beer always has a greater stability, it's not hot and easier to clean after the (improbable) accident.

Doc
I wouldn't accuse me of not thinking if I were you. My "narrow minds" comment was only a gentle dig - there's absolutely no need to escalate a bit of fun into nastiness like "sicophants" and this **** about any one not sharing your view doesn't think. As I have repeatedly said I am not a Schumacher "fan" - just someone not so blind as to believe all the detractors. This was supposed to be a fun thread, laughing at a misinterpreted remark by a TV presenter. You know... laughing. You do know, right? Oh well. |

You agree, when you originally registered for the forum, that you will use this BB to post material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, and otherwise violative of any law. You also agreed to post copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you. Failure to do the above on a regular basis will result in cancellation of your username. If you don't agree with what someone is posting, fine - Let them know about it. Don't take any cr@p from them, and NEVER accept anyone else's point of view. It's your god given right as an internet user to cause as much trouble as you can and annoy people you'll never meet. Remember, attack the poster, not the post. Always treat people with the same level of respect that you would if they were having an affair with your wife. Flaming is encouraged. If your having trouble reaching your flame bate quoter, we suggest posting anything about Michael Schumacher, or whoever his latest rival is. We are very proud of our 'trolls' who come here simply to disrupt the forum, either by flooding the board with comments coming from a single point of view in pretty much every posting they make, or by intentionally posting something which they know will is against our forum rules or which is intended to start a flame war. If you wish to cause discontent amongst your fellow posters, please be aware that you will probably made a moderator of the F1 forum. Similarly, posting under two different usernames is a great way to argue with yourself, or gang up on others. Also helpful when you keep forgeting which personality you are. On a final note, please be aware that we come here because we have to. This forum is not for fun or your personal amusement. Lets make the time we spend here as uncomfortable as possible for each other. *click this link for the real rules of Ten-tenths* |

Wrex
If it weren't for my pathological dislike of smilies I'd be giving you a laughing one, a thumbs up one, and probably a little cool guy in sunglasses besides. I'm off now to enjoy my day, and I wish everyone else the same! |

Nice one Wrex.
Seriously now; I believe that there's a little flaw in the registration process. Altough the FAQ link is clearly displayed it doesn't kick one's eyes so all that we initially agree is: Quote:

[QUOTE][i]Originally posted by Glen
"I wouldn't accuse me of not thinking if I were you. My "narrow minds" comment was only a gentle dig - there's absolutely no need to escalate a bit of fun into nastiness" normally you use smiles in your posts, and this time you didn't it, so you fooled me. Is an apology sufficient? "like "sicophants" I didn't say you personally were a sicophant, but plenty of schumacher fans are. Plenty of them. Plenty of people are too lazy to pick a favorite based on anything but looking at the results and picking the name at the top. I can't imagine why anyone would want to cheer for someone who crashes into people on purpose and is in a new cheating scandal three or four times a year. I sure don't want to teach my kids to be like that. "As I have repeatedly said I am not a Schumacher "fan" - just someone not so blind as to believe all the detractors." Do you consider me to be one of his detractors? I only critisize the guy's dangerous tactics. He could win every race for the next 10 years and if he does it clean, I have no problem with him at all. In fact, I will run over top of all of you to get the chance to be his biggest fan! But he is either going to inspire a big kill with his stupid swerving or he is going to cause it himself. Be here the day after it happens so I can remind you over and over that I told you so. Bob akin just launched a 1988 vintage Nissan GTP car over a concrete barrier (moved it 25 feet!) and deep enough into the Georgia woods to start a forest fire. At an FIA inspected and approved track. This is after he contacted with another car. If there was a grandstand there, it would have been lemans 55 all over again. So tell me again how the spectators are safe when all the stupid swerving starts. |
