I wasn't referring to the team running these cars, but to the car running (by another team)

I don't see a reason for anyone to rent obscure SMP chassis when they just can get standard Oreca (even the old open top) with infinitely better supply service, and probably cheaper too. Even if SMP paid someone to run the car (though in that case why not just run it themselves?) they surely won't have the resources to back it up as handily as the French spec monopoly dealers.
The only (on paper) non-SMP team running the SMP so far has been the "Courage" effort, which ended up running nothing at all thanks to LM entry rejection Now if the greed-influenced cashing-in LMP2 spec deal wouldn't have happened, it could've been different of course, but alas no. |

Oreca supply service in Asia? Lol. There's a reason the 03 shod teams are running around like headless chickens chasing other teams spares to cobble things together. Can't really blame oreca given the 07 push but it's definitely difficult effectively running something like the 03 nowadays and in comparison the smp would be no more difficult.

They just announced the 2017/18 calendar, there will be five rounds:
1. Zhejiang, China 2. Zhuhai, China 3. Fuji, Japan 4. Buriram, Thailand 5. Sepang, Malaysia Zhejiang will be early October. The other dates are basically same as this season. Also Asian Le Mans Sprint Cup will be 4 rounds instead of 3. A partnership with GT Asia is also announced as well as a new Michelin Asia GT Challenge. The GT team that take part in both GT Asia and Asian Le Mans Series and gets the most points will get an invitation to take part in the 2018 LM 24 Hours. |

The website barely mentions theres a race this weekend and there doesn't appear to be a stream. It's actually hard to watch this series. |

Andrea Pizzitola set a 1:38.155 on a wet track to put Algarve Pro Racing #25 Ligier JSP2 Nissan on pole position for tomorrow's race.

So I guess with 7 hours difference this means 6 AM in Mid Europe (5 AM GMT) Just saw the quali-result - in LMP3 the long awaited battle between Ligier and Ginetta is finally on. Great to see this! Makes me keen on following the race. |

There is no live streaming for this race but sounds like they are working on it later in the season.
There will be live timing for the race and there seems to be a greater media presence there so maybe smell of them will tweet during the race |

It's been an interesting race so far but the safety car periods mean that it hasn't got into a rhythm yet |

The 35 Ligier and 24 Oreca are still on the same lap after two hours.
4 cars are on the same lap in GT. One Lambo, one Audi and two Ferrari 488s. |

The youtube stream has 18 viewers . Well you have to start from somewhere. Live timing is much better than the one WEC uses.

Safety car at the 3 hours mark. LMP2 leaders separated by a few seconds only, LMP3 are basically nose to tail.
