I doubt it. They have enough on their hands in sorting the new chassis. Keep in mind that the current car was several months late and they missed two LMS rounds in the process.

Flyaway races only with no transport budgets????
Diesels have to run on Kumhos?? Coupes have to run with a passenger at all times? |

It seems RSV Motorsport will run in LMS the next year. Currently they are racing in International GT Open and Spanish GT Championship with two Ferrari 430 GT.
This team raced two LMS events in 2006. Istanbul, where Peter Sundberg scored the pole-position in GT2, and Spa where the car was wrecked because of Eau Rouge incident. Source: www.sportmotores.es |

For this year we had Goldentime Racing Team who would be there with a Ferrari 550, Prospeed and James Watt Automotive who confirmed doing a full season with Porsches.
With rumours saying that around 80 cars have sent in an application for next season I would wait until early 2008 to get this confirmation. Ok..this might attract sponsors. |

There's talk about both Binnie & ASM racing a differant chassis for 2008 . So , whats available to them ?
Binnie have expressed their intention of staying in LMP2 , dont know about ASM though . Available competitive chassis would be Porsche RS Spyder , Zytek 07S2 , Pescarolo PS01 , Courage LC75 and the yet dissapointing Radical SR9 . The Lola would seem to be a bit long in the tooth at this stage . ASM were rumoured to be interested in a Porsche and a good guess on my part would be a Zytek 07S2 for Binnie . They already are pretty happy with the engine , why not splash out on the chassis too ? Are there any other rumours knocking about at this stage ? |

If he fancies a turbo package then the new(ish) Mazda-AER is the only one to fit the bill!! Though a bit of a retrograde step to the Lola chassis imo! |

Bill is very happy with the Zytek engine, he did certainly imply the Zytek was the most durable out there !!!! I guess he seemed open for other options but as stated a new chassis is what he is looking at mainly.

probably yes considering how much Randaccio spent for the new g'box... so 3 possible italians prototypes for LMS 08! (2 Lucchini + Lavaggi) :-)

A second RS Spyder has been sold to a certain team currently in the LMS, and there are no plans for a third car in europe.

Could the moderators please delete the Dutch Racer account? That was my old log-in and I won't be using it anymore. Thanks.
Yes I know which team it is however I'm not posting it because I feel this is confidential information and it is up to the team to share it whenever they feel like it. I wouldn't be happy if someone shared information from us which wasn't ready for publication yet. Best regards, Robert van Barneveld Assistent Team Manager VM Motorsport by Equipe Verschuur |

So,
Robert van Barneveld Assistent Team Manager VM Motorsport by Equipe Verschuur, what tid bits do you have for us?! Since there does not seem to be much at the team site as to the RS effort. Are you any closer to having Dutch drivers lined up? Have you a liverery planned yet? The release stated that you would be receiving/advancing the RS in the "Autumn", is this so and have you received the RS yet? Inquiring minds want to know! Best regards, L.P. |

We will be building the car in November at Weissach, followed by a shakedown.
As for drivers. Peter van Merksteijn will most probably drive himself and we are close to signing a 2nd (Dutch) driver. We are still in full negotiations with several drivers for the 3rd seat. We are trying to design a livery which is indeed similar to the Focus WRC of Peter van Merksteijn as we feel it is a very striking design and good advertising for his company. Regards, Robert |
