sort of surprised by the range of votes this time around. no one needs to defend their votes here as they are a subjective thing and everyone watches in different ways.

for example i watch with the benefit of live timing and the part of the race where SV was backing up the field was imo master class. i thought there was a lot of tension/action at the front even if it didnt look that way on TV.

and it must be said that Pirelli did a great job and really made the right call with compounds at this track. i would like to see a lot more of the super softs.

8 for me l'm a sucker when it come to F1 cars under lights and the fact there were no Mercs dominating the race made it so much more interesting.

Singapore has a completely soulless backdrop from the TV pov. Towering, cold safety barrier surrounds the entire track and nothing else. It's devoid of any interest as a venue in terms of scenery.

i think thats a bit harsh.

your opinion and thats cool of course, but surely of all the new tracks/venues its one of the better ones and far more soul then the tracks from UAE, Russia, India, Korea, soon to be Azerbaijan etc no?

It's what I see.

I'm talking about the backdrop and the scenery here - the raceability is adequate in contemporary terms but the scenery flatlines from the TV pov. Just endless, cold metallic safety barrier all around the track. If you squint you can see some old colonial architecture there at one point but then back to the monotonous valley of cold safety barriers.

6. Just wasn't as fun as IMSA, WEC or Blancpain which were the races before it, so I can't vote higher.

Since there have been a couple of people who gave the race high scores because LH retired, I've decided to give it a 0, because LH retired, and the race was won by a Ferrari.

There, that's equalled it up nicely.

Or, I could give it a score based on what the race was actually like. Hmm. Let me think....
