Watching now an SBS, so many incidents during the race (and at previous events) it has you wondering whether the coverage should be post produced rather than live.. to remove the hyperbole, and speak with facts about why x, y & z happened rather than guessing...

The fact that the timing overlay only refreshes once a lap, doesn't help.

The transitions between the stream and telecast are clunky and ad-hoc, and often just abmient noise and a camera pointing off into nothingness, and intro clips starting stopping at random.

No, replacing windows with polycarbonate is fine according to the regs

'Plastic windscreen (polycarbonate or PMMA ensuring the same transparency as the original glass) with the same shape ofthe reference part, with or without heating with minimum thickness 5.85mm is allowed.'

I have a small insight into the TV production and you get what you pay for.

Hopefully there's enough interest for them to tip in more money.

Of course.

I think it definitely needs a bit of a kick in the pants. Not sure how it comes across on SBS, but the live stream would be a bit off-putting to some.

I'm hoping they put full races on YouTube like most of TCR does, as I can rarely watch live and Facebook video is balls.

Good to see Tander rise to the top, sounds like it was a fun race.

Probably the worst aspect of the SBS telecast - all the rest is adequate for now.
As the series grows, I would expect the broadcasting quality to step up to suit

AVE have been producing motorsport television for 25 year.

Also worth pointing out that the lack of landmarks at Taliem "too many" bends doesn't help with the transition.

After watching again today, Anyone who thinks this series will or may try and replace with current Supercar Series is seriously dreaming.

A feeder series or keeping your eye in series yes but thats it.

What gave you that opinion from watching the race?

I saw a race with multiple brands up the front and lots of lead changes from a variety of cars....who would want to see that as our premier series?

Economics might end up leaving no choice
