I have heard a runour that we might get 3 race next year. No idea how much truth there may be in that.

ETCC cars fuel tanks are smaller - not sure of the exact size - but not enough to complete a current BTCC race distance I think.

The idea is that we allow ETCC spec cars to compete. If we start changing the regs then they are no longer ETCC cars...

Yeah I know, so how much shorter are ETCC races compared to BTCC?

Well they seemed ridiculously short when we saw the ETCC at Donington. How much that was related to the size of their tanks and how much to the rules I do not know...!

They did 13laps in 2 races at Donington, so 26laps in total, the BTCC cars do that in roughly one race. We will be having 3 races and no pit stops as things stand for 2004.

I made a mistake, but hey the law hasn't exactly been laid down on how it will work next year.

You're right - things haven't been finalised for next year, but this certainly has. It's the whole point of allowing ETCC cars in the BTCC.

The only way the ETCC could be pointful at the moment was to not run at all. 13laps at Donington-Why Bother!
