Hi Guys. I have been following this forum for a while and I guess that this as good a time as any to stick my chin out and make a contribution. So here are my predictions;
1. Mika Hakki 2. M Schumi 3. R Schumi 4. JP Montoya 5. Jacques V 6. Eddie Irvine I should also mention that I am an ozzie and a Jag fan, hence my including Irvine despite the many tears shed during last season. |

Toth, I'm glad to see someone throw their support behind Nick. I'm convinced that he'll perform strongly as long as the Sauber is competitive(which, based upon history should be about six races.) I hope my guess is wrong and yours is right. I expect big things from him.

With McLarens' gearbox problems and the inability for ferrari to run one full race distance during pre-season testing...... it would seem that the opener is up for grabs........ so..........
1: Michael Schumacher 2: Ralf Scumacher 3: Jarno Trulli 4: Jean Alesi 5: Olivier Panis 6: JP Montoya |

Since everyone has taken all the "safe" picks, I make mine based on the questionable theory that this will be the year of the "J"
1. Jacques 2. Jean 3. Jenson 4. Juan 5. Jarno 6. Jos My only possible mistake is if one of the Jordans or Jaguars scores. If that proves incorrect, I'll go with Jay's picks. |

OK, Here's mine
1.-TGF (I'm a Schumi Fan but Liz's sense of humor should be acknowledged) 2.-TGFLB (Same here) 3.-HHF (It's too close to St Patrick's for EJ not to be lucky) 4.-Mika (Damon's rule of 2 tenths a lap per child will start to show) 5.-Jean A (Can't be out of luck forever) 6.-Jenson (In the only wide-angle V10 to finish) |

If Alain Prost reads this thread he will be turning handsprings. How wonderful to think that Jean Alesi may possibly do Big Things (at least until McLaren get their problems solved ... if they do. They are following the Eddie Jordan Plan this year and we all know where that left Jordan GP last year! More weeping in the weeds this year?)
Nevertheless, I am pushing Jeannot to finish third. Besides the incredible delight of seeing a Prost on the Podium again - I'd win a whole lot of money .... |

Eddie 6th?
This reminds me of 1999. At this time of the year I asked a good mate from my youth to nominate the WDC for the year.
I picked Damon. He picked Eddie. We both laughed. At the last race of the year he was still laughing! Life is so unkind. |

I only had two predictions so never bothered posting...
the first was the obvious one that the wheel tethers wouldn't work - as demonstrated by Burti. My second was that it would rain on Sunday. I thought there was no chance but just found out that the warm-up was wet. Wish I had put some money on it now |
