Maybe some of our work at projectlemans.de can help you with the Aston Martin DBR9: http://www.projectlemans.de/content/view/2469/83/

Thank you Panoz. Imp1; that is very helpful. May we use that info. to start a thread on the DBR9 with appropriate accreditation?
I also think that we are very close to having enough info to start one on the MC12, thanks to GTFever. Last edited by John Turner; 8 Oct 2006 at 10:15. |

Interesting that they sold the first chassis onto Larbre Racing. Also that having got to chassis 9, they then started numbering from 101. Can't be that they are just customer cars surely, given where some of the earlier cars have gone?
I wonder if we can identify who was driving which chassis in 2005? |

Yes it is. There are two MC12's in Italy. The Pakelo Racing one is the Racing box car. See: http://www.pakeloracing.com/index_en...goria&lang=eng The other car, the blue one, is the Playteam car, they both drive alongside this year. |

Thanks GTFever for the confirmation about those two Italian MC12's! I really like this part of the Forum, i'm a favorite of searching chassis numbers of racing cars. Keep it going like this way here Sorry for my 'low' English language, but i just had 2 years English you see.. |

The DBR9/1 car is owned by Frederic Dor... not Aston Martin or Larbre.
The DBR9/4 car entered by Team Modena would first be build to race as a factory car. But they didn´t managed to get a team for that car. And after that the car goes to a uk based collector. |

I have the (unconfirmed) number 3 for the PlayTeam MC12 and the 5 for the Racing Box MC12.
But i heard that the Racing Box car should be a new factory car That can be understood as "a car that was raced by the factory" or as "delivered direct from th efactory to Racing Box". The #5 raced never before and i can´t believe that Maserati build #9 and #10 |

Gentlemen, remember the forum rules: 'Where possible identify the source of your information.'. That's how we clear up differences of opinion, not by merely repeating what you've said before.

The information about the DBR9/1 is from CARE itself. Look at the pictures of the car and you´ll find a little sticker CARE RACING DEVELOPMENT.
The information about the DBR9/101 is from the website of the team: www.teammodena.com If you´re interested i can send you also the picutres of every number plate. |

Thanks, that's good solid info on 9/101 on the Modena site, but .... ' It first hit the LMES series in July 2005, already with an excellent 2005 championship season behind it, having won in September at the Nurburgring ....... ' is a bit confusing. Surely it should be ' and has already had an excellent 2005 season ....etc'. . I'm guessing that July 2005 was the first time it hit the tracks because before that surely only the works Prodrive cars DBR 9/1 & 2 had raced up to then? 2005 was the first year that the DBR9 raced, wasn't it?
Do you have pictures of each car to go with the pictures of the chassis nos. panoz.lmp1? If so are you prepared to post them here. I really feel that the DBR9 is close to having its own thread. Last edited by John Turner; 14 Oct 2006 at 20:45. |

Well done, guys; keep it coming. When the season finally ends, I'm hoping that I can find some time to work through this thread to see if we have enough to create some individual model threads for the archive.

Just checked the chassis info from the Le Mans 24 hours of 2006 and it says the Aston Martin DBR9 driven by Brabham/Piquet/Garcia was the DB9/107.
How weird is that... |

Already thought it was a mistake on the site. Scanning that page would be great. Perhaps you can also get chassis nrs in Dubai?
