I guess being "the quickest circuit in the country" it's not exactly the best for the smaller capacity cars. Those Nissans should be mighty around Thruxton though - will Rod be beaten? Shame I can't be there for this one - looks like a good meeting.

Just seen the entry list. Wish I was able to come and watch. Me thinks Mr Birley will have a battle on his hands!
Will be interesting to see how much quicker Steve Noble's Nova is over Graham's one. Hoping for a dry day for everyone.

i dont worry about winning as long as i have a good day out with my family and friends but just to put the record straight i have less bhp per ton than the rest of the minis.

I'll second that.

Woody you're not doing French cars justice, they are not all crap. They did make the 2CV.

Interesting results on TSL, Birley second! Will be interesting to see how he fares in tomorrows welsh sports and saloon meeting at Brands.

What happend to Bill Richards? Qualified, then no mention in the race report?

Not sure if Rod will be at Brands tomorrow as picked up some damage.

And Bill apparently stripped a gear and with no other Minis racing there were no spares so he had an early bath. Great couple of scraps in particular Race 2.

An excellent days entertainment from all the series.

It was a shame both Skylines hit trouble but both races were crackers

Congrats to the Combe lads on class and overall wins.

That amount of info is a teaser, having not been there we are trying to find out all the gossip! Its unusual for Rod to get damage, what happened? Sorry there was no class E cars to help Bill.
Does anyone know why Nigel Craig didnt finish 1st race?

The Thruxton chicane bit the Escorts back side.
Now we have daylight in the rear shock mount/turret.

to be fair Rod was out of control before he got to the chicane.

It was something to do with the antifreeze inside the car making the pedals slippery.
There will be a nice airbourne shot on the website later

I bet Mr. Jon hasn't got one ?
