Only 4 cars in 0.5 seconds. What happened?

Neal? Gosh...
Subarus are nowhere.. terrible to see. I reckon it's their last year in BTCC.

Surprised to see the BMWs up there at a track which traditionally doesn’t suit them, I guess the lack of weight helped.

does anyone doubt that he won't lose the start to Turks ?

Cammish 4rd , smells like Dynamics might bag podiums

Tingram 6th with full ballast , hope he won't have puncture

wonder why Goff did so poorly

On the opposite end of the spectrum the HARD VWs are once again at the back. I would've expected Hill and Bushell to be in, or very near to, the top ten around here.

Good to see Smith get a P3, hopefully he can convert it into a podium like Smiley did at Donington.

Chilton up there again too so I would imagine he will be in contention for the podium.

Very impressive from Ingram with all that weight on board. Looks like Goff can't carry it as well as Tom can.

The Subarus: it's not just Plato, even whizz kid Sutton is qualifying poorly and having to fight like hell to get any kind of result.

Clearly they are not adequately prepared on a shoe string budget ala the MGs last year.

If BMR close up shop it would be damned interesting to see what the likes of Shaun Hollamby could do with them...

My totally outsiders' opinion on the Subarus is that they are near enough unbeatable when set up correctly, but the window between that and near enough undriveable is tiny - and without Mr Faux they are struggling to tune the car in.

I've absolutely nothing but gut feeling to back that up, and may be miles off, but Plato (and especially) Sutton don't lose their pace over an off season.

Matt Neal back on top after a tricky start to the season, but then he always seems to go well at Thruxton. Turkington and Tordoff up there, let's hope they get the luck this time

Credit to Dunlop too - no punctures as of yet, in similarly hot conditions to '16.

Those Astras are soooo quick!

Uncle Dick already at the stewards to penalize Cook ?

surprised Neal managed to stay there with full ballast

what a "celebration" guess Cook knows he will be penalized

Yeah, ok, I get it thanks

Well, congrats to Cook and PMR. They seem to have gone up out of the blue really. Very consistently in front and the third victory, while the likes of BMW or Subaru are still yet to win. That's surprising.

I sort of expected more from Tordoff & Chilton in race 2 but not a bad race for the previous.

Sad to see Sutton struggling so much. If he can't progress, then it means BMR is in deep trouble.
