From f1 racing.net
http://www.f1racing.net/en/driver.php?driverID=19 "Bruni began racing at the age of 10 in a kart borrowed from the director of the Roman kart circuit "La Pista D'Oro". From 1991-1994 he contested various karting championships before finishing third in the 1995 European Karting Championship. In 1997 Bruni graduated to single-seaters racing in the Italian Formula Renault Campus championship - winning the series in 1998. In 1999 he won the European Formula Renault Championship earning a drive in the British F3 series. He raced British F3 in 2000 and 2001 finishing fifth in his debut season, and fourth in 2001. He moved to the European Formula 3000 Championship in 2002 finishing twelfth overall but continuing into 2003 where he also tested for the Minardi F1 team before earning a full time F1 drive for the 2004 season with the Italian team." Not a great record I have to admit, his most impressive showings recently came in the Friday tests for Minardi, where as BootsOntheSide has said, he outpaced Kiesa and even Verstappen on occasion. Heres hoping he's another Gene, who works hard and quietly gets on with the job, finishing races and (hopefully!) inheriting some points. |

European Formula Renault wasn't a bad series to win, but it's true that Formula 1 testing seemed to suit him a lot, with his performances there being extremely impressive. He's defiantely been signed predominantly on merit - I don't think he's brought any significant sponsorship.

I predict two points, both scored by Bruni (1º 7th or 2º 8ths). Zsolt has no chances to score points in F1 (he hardly scored points in F3000...)

They'll only score points if there are 8 or less finishers in a race. And it'll be Bruni to score the points.

How do you think Minardi can beat Jordan? In every area Jordan look superior - better and more experienced drivers, better machinery, later-spec engine, more testing completed and more experienced technical staff. Jordan look set for an improvement this year (in competitiveness, even if they might not beat 13 points) but Mianrdi are going nowhere (sad to say)

Right. But we can always hope. Two underdogs, and I really love that, but Minardi deserve a little more.

I'm sorry to say, a big fat Zero imo. At least over the last 2 seasons they had the likes of Webber or Wilson who had the talent to get a point if everything fell into place. I don't see that with their 2004 line up

I think you guys may be surprised with this Bruni fella.
Either by his badness or his "the next Schuey" credentials. |

Bruni will score a point but thats all.
As for GPRacers comment on the Jags I don't know about Klien but Webber will pick the thing up and carry it over the line.Be advised that the Jags are not as bad as they have let themselves be made out to be. The Grumpy1 Last edited by grumpy1; 1 Mar 2004 at 21:50. |

Is it significant that almost half od the people who participated in this poll have estimated an incorrectness as to the number of points Minardi will score? While a quarter (which included me I think) thought they would get a single point...
for Minardi! Jordan isnt that far up the road |
