I was very impressed that Davies won those two races and halted the Kawasaki steamroller. I'd like to see more of the same

Assen
Great race 1 in Assen today! Rea and Davies taking first and second was no real surprise, but racing was really tight all the way to the flag.
Good to see Hayden on a podium again. When was the last time he got one? Great result for Camier as well; 4th place must be the best ever for MV Agusta in World Superbike. |

Superb superbike race 1 and supersport race at Assen last weekend. I was really pleased for Camier. Interesting comments from Sean Muir on how Milwaukee BMW are faring so far especially with regards to the performance of his riders; openly heaping pressure on Karel Abraham is an interesting strategy. Also, Whitham made some comments about the Panigale and the reworked bottom area i.e. it used to be exposed pipes but now has bodywork; he was querying what the legality of that was since the class is supposedly silhouette based. Do Ducati have to produce road-going Panigale's with the new bottom layout or have they got some sort of dispensation? |

Davies was untouchable on his Ducati in both races at Imola this weekend. Good racing, but a bit "boring" with Davies, Rea and Sykes making identical podiums in both races...

Two dominant performances last weekend; how Sykes kept up the pace in race one and not root the tyres remains a mystery. I wonder how things would have panned out in race two had it remained dry. Hayden came to the fore in race two, you could see just how smooth he was riding; very impressive. Not wishing to sound unkind but Lowes reminds me of myself (not in terms of talent!) trying to race online i.e. costly unforced errors when running vaguely competitively. He keeps having 'moments'. Anyway, do we reckon Guigliano is out at the end of the season? Very chuffed for Badovini in Supersport, I didn't think he did that badly on the BMW in the big class. Reiterberger is also on the up in the big class. I might pop down to Donington to catch qualifying. |

Good to see Hayden get a win and personally I was pleased to see Alex Lowes near the pointy end even if briefly.

UK TV
For UK viewers, World Superbikes is on Quest this weekend. Quest is apparently owned by Eurosport's parent company, Discovery hence the move to that channel when there are clashes.

If Tom keeps going like this and Rea has a few more niggling issues, we may still have a genuine championship fight on our hands?
Camier for Guigliano's ride next year? |

Two men who really need to sort themselves out are Lowes and Giugliano surely.
Lowes seems to crash nearly every round and Gigolo seems pretty much the same |
