I thought my PC wasn't good enough to run it, and it wasn't. I thought my laptop's graphics card was unsupported, but it still works anyway.
Most circuits aren't very good. Sepang isn't bad, and its not recent enough for Sakhir. I tried looking for Mexico City but the city itself was so huge it was really kinda pointless. Hockenheim, Le Mans, Reims, Österreichring are OK at best and Brands Hatch and Nurburgring are dreadfully poor quality. |

I think it'll be much more to do with the availability of detailed satellite imagery. Sure, we now have a reasonable resolution for the entire planet, but its not enough for you to be able to make out really specific details. Notice that if you zoom out a lot you can see how some regions are much more detailed than others, usually around cities where more detailed mapping has been done. But its pretty sparse, and you can imagine how long its going to take to get that quality of imaging for the rest of the planet...

Alot of aerial photos...
Barber Motorsports Park, Leeds, Alabama, United States Automotodrom Brno, Czech Republic Circuito do Estoril, Portugal Hungaroring, Budapest, Hungary Autodromo Carlos Pace (Interlagos), Sao Paolo, Brazil Circuito Permanente de Jerez, Spain Guia Circuit, Macau, China Autodromo Santamonica, Misano Adriatico, Italy Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello, Scarperia, Italy And those unlucky tracks who lie at the cut between hi-res and lo-res photos... Adria International Raceway, Italy Talladega Superspeedway, Alabama, United States Lowes Motor Speedway, Concord, North Carolina, United States Circuit Park Zandvoort, the Netherlands |

I just noticed something really weird. Look at this photo of Magny-Cours.
See anything odd? Look harder. It appears as though the pit garages have been airbrushed from detail. Now, the only airbrushing I've ever seen in satellite images is of the detail of the White House. So, what's so top-secret going on at Magny-Cours that would require such a coverup? |

Well, if you look at my search bar, you'll see that I was originally looking for the track in Zhuhai, then realized that Macau was right next door.

Perhaps this does not belong in this thread but it is about "Google Maps"
Our good friends at Google never stop. If you haven't played with the maps.google.com site where you can not only find directions but switch back and forth from maps to satellite photos and zoom down to street level, it's mind boggling. In honor of the new shuttle mission, Google put up a most excellent moon map. Follows the same principles as the Earth map. Click HERE . Make sure you "zoom down" to the highest magnification. |

It is Evergreen Terrace, number 742 Evergreen Terrace, to be precise.
By the way, only the maps on maps.google are limited to US and UK (plus some other countries, too, but not too detailed. However, if you switch to Satellite view, you get almost the entire planet. |

if you press alt + print screen it takes a picture of just the thing you are looking at ..... Like the internet explorer, rather than having to scale down everything.
