Second caution, a light shower has hit the track.
The caution is a blessing for Junior who has been struggling with a lose swaybar. |

Third caution, we've hit lap 40 and the competition caution is out. Junior managed to race himself into the lucky dog position and gets back on the lead lap.

Fourth caution, #13 Casey Mears is slow on the track with mechanical issues and is nearly collected by #32 Mike Skinner. Also looks like the #13 is dropping debris and NASCAR throws the yellow flag.
Earnhardt Jr. just managed to stay on the lead lap. We have just passed the one quarter mark of the race. Carl Edwards has dominated the race so far. Tony Stewart is stuck in 20-22nd place and will lose the Championship lead if he doesn't pick his game up. |

Sixth caution, #47 Bobby Labonte spins coming off turn two on the restart and tags the inside wall without damaging the car too badly. Looks like #14 Tony Stewart turned the #47.

Eight caution, for #38 J. J. Yeley scraping the wall.
The seventh caution that was earlier, was for rain. |

Ninth caution, #32 Mike Bliss (not Skinner as I said earlier, sorry 'bout that) wrecks on the backstretch.

Congrats to Kurt Busch who wins Chase race no 3 ahead of Jimmie Johnson and Carl Edwards, tightening up the championship standings in the process.

and Ambrose makes it 9th 2 in a row!!!
now at 20th, 6 points off JPM in 19th, 13 behind Ragan in 18th, and 27 behind Martin in 17th. Sadly don't see him getting his best championship result this year... oh well, RPM hopefully better and stronger next year to have a serious crack at top 15 or even the chase, if he can just get that little bit better at Dover or Charlotte, combined with a Road Course win (or 2 ) |

Good to see Marcos get 2 top 10's in a row - thats 10 top 10's this season, he gotta drop the numerous 30+ finishes...
Here comes double J - title #6 is on the cards unless.... Kyle & the #18, pull ya finger out! |

Indeed was a great finish from Taz; even got an interview after the race this time , and said all the right things...didn't want to get tangled up with the Chasers, but had a team to drive for, etc. And great battle with Hamlin there towards the end.
Big hit for JJ last night; 10 years ago, that was a wreck that would taken a driver's life or at least sidelined him for months. Kudos to the safety equipment. Not sure what you guys think, but I didn't count out JJ a few weeks ago when he was down at the bottom of the Chase standings. However, it will now take all of the drivers ahead in points to falter for JJ to get back in it. 35 points ain't much at all, but he needs a lot of help, and I don't see it happening with the some of these others are running. Should have started a pole with this, but who is the top choice to knock JJ off his throne and end the 48's dominate reign over NASCAR? Carl or Harvick would probably get my vote today... |

So, Matt Kenseth wins again at Charlotte. Good for him! He and Kyle had the strongest cars all night, and after a late restart, Kyle couldn't hold him off and Matt gets his 21st Cup win.

I'd prefer to call him the Concrete Cousin .
Kenseth has been picked by some experts and the past champ hasn't looked too bad of late. Anyone think JJ still has a chance? This weekend's race at Talladega will bring some separation amongst the top 5.... |

If it was any other driver/chief combo than bean counter Chad and Johnson then, no, but that duo have a knack of a rattling off a few of them after various dips in performance.
