The Dumsney/movie car would presumebly be one of the teams early Oldsmobile's, that won both the 1992/93 (Dumsney) and 1993/94 (Barry Graham) championships, they had a Pontiac as well, then for the 1995/96 season the team moved to Monte Carlo's..... is the movie worth seeing, and how does a fully-liveried car fit in the story line??

NASCARS
The two JSR Olsmobiles were reskinned as Monte Carlos, Kim Jane bought Max's one? And I think Rodney Jane bought the Graham JSR Monte Carlo,? which in the end Brad Jones ran a couple of times. A guy from the states reskinned the 5 car [Max] JSR,at john's workshop and Tommy Smith reskinned the Graham JSR, car. A short period after. Gee that's to long ago to remember. Sala's car was it the old Grice Commodore?????? Where did Warrick Da Roses, ex Steve Harrington car go? which was re boded as a Commodore. Chuck this will keep you going for a while.

Barry's car went???????? Grice Commodore??????????? "Tex" was the guru body builder (from the USA) and Tommy's was correct! The project has been going on for quite a while. Get the "Barber" shop talk happening so we can get these cars identified, out of sheds and happening. CCC Last edited by Camaroz; 19 Nov 2009 at 10:26. |

NASCAR
Sure the janes bought barry's car for Rodney as we ran it for them, then as time went on Brad ran Rodneys car for a couple of meetings to show it's potentual.as Rod was struggling. Tex was his name he stayed at my place while he built it, married more times than me and you both!! Loved the pub opposite my house, which sponsored K.Schwantz, in his Nascar days. What about the La Rose car did it get rebodied and used by Dick Midgley? they were mates . Where have all the JFR, cars gone, Eddie A bought one didn't he? I can remember him beating Kimbo at Barbagallo.

Isn't there an old NASCAR outside Calder Park, using it as a sign?

And a fair chance of a few in sheds out there as well.
Saw the cut away car a couple of years ago hidden away in a shed. |

From what I've been informed, Rusty French purchased the ex JSR / Max Dumsney "Christine " car and it resides down Hastings way.

Historic Stock Car Racing Series Australia
It is time to get the word out to those that still own NASCARS.
The Historic Stock Car Racing Series Australia has been established. We have the OK to attend the "Shannons Sports and Muscle Car Showdown" at QR in July and the "Muscle Car Masters" at EC in September. The Rules and Regs, details of applying for CAMS Log Books and other support information is currently being finalised. Those that need information, please contact me... rowan@motoringevents.com.au |

Hey Camaroz,
Do Fast Track still do the NASCAR / AUSCAR ride days on the Dome? If not whats happened to the fleet of NASCAR's and AUSCAR's? I did it about 8 years ago. Drove Leigh Watkins (name right?) EF AUSCAR, with Leigh in the passenger seat and rode shotgun with Marshel Brewer in the VT NASCAR. Got more of a buzz sitting in the passenger seat watching a pro at work than wobbling around driving a race car at 50% of it's capability. Everyone thinks their a gun behind the wheel until a pro shows them how LOL! |

Camaroz, will they be "attending" or "racing" at MCM, and if racing, have their own race or be a class within a larger eligibility race?

It depends on how many we can get on track in time.
If we can get 15 we can have races at QR. 20 would be good for races at MCM. |

Would love to get hold of some of the old series point scores. Looking back now at what I can find, many of them appear to be wrapped in mystery.
