Robin's AM V8-based car was generally red, white & blue from 1977 to 1979 - indeed, the last time I saw the car (in its' 1979 form) it was still looking very original.

The Nimrod GrC cars were different, however - the factory cars were silver with green striping & Viscount Downe's privately-owned car (1982) was red, white & blue. The latter changed with the advent of Bovis sponsorship.

I'd put Martin Brundle forward as a driver, though losing him from ITV would be a blow.

Internally, Aston called it "Almond Green", their take on BRG.

The last time the factory raced (under the (Protech banner) they were red, white and blue.

Of course, pre-war they raced at Le mans in Italian red...

I dont care what colours they choose, the fact that they are racing is good enough for me!!!!!!!!!!

I can see you're point, but it's only Martin's talking that prevents Allen from talking all the time and that might be too much to take!

How about Andy Wallace, James Weaver. Hell, why not get Mark Blundell and Johnny Herbert too!?

If we're talking non-Brits, then I want JJ!

Car 1: D. Bell, J. Bell, A. Wallace
Car 2: J. Weaver, M. Blundell, J. Herbert.

I like the sounds of that. It'd certainly be something to cheer!!
