Does anybody have an entry list for the two Nordic series? I know they have been out and about testing and from looking over the news posted at TCT.com, it seems like both series will have a decent field, but has there been anything official just yet?

Actually I still haven't figured out what caused such a huge drop in entries.

Introducing ADAC GT4 might have played a role: similar budgets (or even lower since they're split between two drivers), but much more prestigious car brands - thus a much more appealing product for self-funded drivers.

This seems a reasonable explanation. Somehow it may seem there's not a great appetite for 'typical' touring cars in Germany as DTM was such last in early 1990s.

With the advent of GT customer racing programs, first in GT3, then in GT4, that all changed - and if bragging rights at the top floor of your company or in the golf club are one of the main motivators for why you go racing, then racing an Aston Martin or Audi R8 makes a lot more sense than racing an Hyundai or Opel. So the only people that still go touring car racing are those that a) are being paid to do so, b) associated with a dealership that sells cars of the brand they race, or c) enjoy the more physical driving style typically associated with touring car sprint racing and are willing to pay for that. It's a bit different in countries where touring cars are the national top series, such as in the UK, Sweden or Denmark, as there racing in the top series has its own prestige, regardless of the brand of car you drive. |

And of course, TCR is not really a cheap way to race anymore. If you don't have the newest gear, you are only there to fill the grid...

Easy win for Engstler. Looked like also an easy 2nd place for D. Fugel, but at the end his younger brother came close.
In the rest of the field there were some nice fights. Good start of the season for TCR Germany. |

Looked like Engstler and Dom Fugel backed off a lap early.
English stream was a bit of a joke. No comms until halfway in, and then we're subjected to a couple of blokes who seemed to be watching a different race at times. |

Not sure whether the decision to drop the reversed grid in TCR Germany was a good one.
Given the current level of competitivenes it can make the life way too easy for Luca Engstler |

The TCR South America will race next weekend at Rivera, Uruguay (never been there). Santiago Urrutia will be a special guest with a Lynk. He will also enter at the following round at El Pinar in early October.
He has plans to race as many races as possible in 2022. |

Is this a brand new car or a spare car from the Cyan Racing?

The TCR South America raced this weekend at El Pinar, my local racetrack. I attended on Saturday. Sunday's TCR race was at 9 am (?).
There were few cars in nearly all races. The Uruguayan Superturismo had like 19, which is ok but not amazing. Here my photos. Unfortunately, the wiki video converter is broken, so I couldn't upload any videos. My old compact camera doesn't work, so I took my smartphone. I was too far from the racetrack (there's a road between my favorite place and the track), and it was cloudy. Therefore, most photos are quire blurry |

If older kit truly is at a disadvantage, they should offer some kind of weight reduction to older cars as a "sweetener", say if your car is 3 years old or more, you get 20kg weight reduction, 5 years or more and you get 30kg reduced or something along those lines. Doesnt have to be those exact years and those exact weights.
