I've never thought the Toyota livery was too bad, I just don't like the big 'Panasonic' on the sidepod.

It would be cool if McLaren returned to the classic orange

I used to think so too, nkh, whenever I saw it in pre-season testing, but I think the current scheme is the classiest by far.

The trouble with the Toyota livery is that when you look at both cars head on they look like a pair of training shoes!

I like the Toyota livery. Certainly shows a bit more originality than most of the grid.

The Toyota livery is pants - all corporate and bland.

I admire Jordan for having a bit of derring-do and brand courage...I like the BARs just for looking quite cool.

BAR schemes have been great. I always say the two liveries of 1999 were outstanding, just a shame they had to be put together. From 2003 on the thing's improved, too.

I agree, it's a shame they aren't allowed to vary the liveries between team cars like Champ Car and most other series.

Williams will be launching it's new livery on Friday and announcing it's driver to partner Webber. Aren't Williams going to have sponsorship from HSBC??

I think the BARs are the most boring livery in town - white cars are just plain dull.

I was disappointed with Ferrari when they changed the colour, but I think the new dayglo red has achieved a particular cache of its own. It's actually grown on me.

Williams is quite dull at the moment - if they are going to stick with the blue and white they need a better design.

I'm sick of McLaren's design being branded the classiest - it is old-hat and lifeless now.

Renault's is at least a little different - don't mind it too much.

Toyota's is rather uninspiring, but at least they've had a go at spicing it up.

Jag's was the best livery last year (love that green), and I expect Red Bull's to be one of the best this year - I'm imagining silver with the metallic dark blue from the old Prosts.

The Saubers always look interesting, but aren't what you would call beautiful.

I like the bright yellow on the Jordans (I like yellow cars!).

And the Minardi's are like an old black and white film - quite nice in their own right, but frankly ordinary compared to modern standards.

At the end of the day, colours should be:

Ferrari - Red
BMW Williams - Blue and white
McLaren Mercedes - Silver
BAR Honda - Red, white and black
Renault - White, yellow and silver
Toyota - White and red
Sauber Petronas- Whatever the team and sponsors want
Red Bull - Silver and blue
Jordan - Ditto
Minardi - Ditto

It's up to the teams and sponsors to come up with interesting designs.

There are a few contradictions there arent there?
You state that BAR are the most boring livery in town.
Then you say at the end of the day they should be red, white and black.
Well pretty much thats what colour they are now!

You said the same sort of thing about Williams being quite dull.
But then at the end of your post say that the colours should remain Blue and White.

And as you have put "ditto" down for Jordan and Minardi, why would they paint their cars in Red Bull colours? I think all Red Bulls sponsorship dollars will be taken up in their own team.

Are you crazy?!?!?

1999 we had the frankly distgusting Winfield Williams, and the "zipped" BAR.
I seem to remember Minardi were a rather nice shade of puke green too.
