LucaBadoer should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

I just cant see Mr Schumi winning the title so damn easily this year. If the Williams are reliable, I can see it been a very close title race between JPM, TGF, Ralf and maybe DC or Kimi.

Latest odds from William Hill
M Schumacher 8/15
J-P Montoya 4/1
R Schumacher 6/1
D Coulthard 9/1
K Raikkonen 14/1

Bernie won't let TGF win it so easily again, it might make people think he favours Micheal (we all saw THE photo ).

I reckon 4/1 is a pretty good bet for JPM, may be worth flutter.

Looks to me as if they are saying that Michael has 65% chance of winning the WDC,
Montoya 20%,
Ralf 14%,
David 10%,
and Raikkonen 7%.

So your quote seems to show that William Hill thinks that Michael has a greater chance than JPM, Ralf, DC and Kimi together.

-----

On the other hand, I don't believe they realy think there's a 116% chance that one of those 5 drivers will be WDC ...

Can anybody tell me the real meaning of those figures (8/15, 4/1 etc.)?

I'd put my money on Kimi winning it.

DNQ's opinion....

It will be a JPM/Schuey battle for sure, with the macs taking the back seat alongside Ralf. Who will come out on top? All I can say is

'JPM for World Champion'

Don, what comes into play here is something called the bookie's overround. The odds are stacked so that he'll get a profit no matter what, that's why they sum up to 116 %. If people place their bets exactly the way the bookie anticipates, then he won't have to change the odds to achieve this profit. But if (and that's far more likely) the bets are placed differently, say, 40 % of bettors' money are put on Montoya, the bookie will then change the odds to reflect those stakes, ensuring him a profit no matter what the outcome of the WDC.

The value for the bettor, of course, lies in whether or not you think the real probability of a WDC for one of these drivers is higher than the probability estimated in the odds. If you think Ralf has a 30 % chance of winning the WDC, in stead of the estimated 14, then that's a good bet. Looking at the results of the poll, if you want to bet on Montoya, now's the time to do it, because if bets are placed the way the poll indicates, then the price on him winning is going to fall. Of course, shopping around for prices might give you better value elsewhere.

i want JPM to win, but in his 2nd season i think it'll be too much for him!!! i think the experience in CART of title races will come in useful. i think think in the end it'll be TGF but DC will be up there.
