And why would they want it to be right at the front under artificial circumstances? They've never said the hybrid car would be faster as far as I know.

If you are demoing a new technology generally it's good to have it competitive. To the average casual spectator having a former champion running around with the likes of Andy Neate and Jade Edwards is not a good look.

'This is a demonstration event of the hybrid system – it is not the full competitive debut of the car' Which is why I was wondering why anyone would be surprised to see it lower down in the timesheets. |

Great session for Butcher, bodes well for the race. Really bad session for Hill though, can he salvage anything in the race?

Yes in the race he will most likely be back there with them but that's down to the rules of the demo run which I'm sure they will go over and over in the broadcast to cater for the casual viewer. |

As much as Rory deserves the win he definitely undertook under yellows there. Thought Ingram didn't really defend and that explains why..

I like Butcher but surely that has to be a penalty for the yellow flag pass?
I'm a bit lost here, clear yellow flag but appears the rules haven't been enforced.....just bizarre |

Sutton's pace with full ballast is just unreal, got fastest lap too , he is unstoppable, you can take Hill as comparison who really struggled

Just because Butcher and the commentators didn't notice I think it's a bit of a leap to say that only Ingram and people here saw it.
Plenty of people posting on Facebook about it, quite a few before any posts here. At the end of the day it only really matters that speedworks know as they can protest if it wasn't reported from the marshal post. |
