KartingFun should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

[QUOTE]Thanks to everyone for their sometimes pertinent advice and also to KartingFu(k?)n whose ability to get gearbox karts off the line preceeds him.

Hmm, guess I earned that one. I just like to give the grid a bit of a head start that's all.

That's "stall" folks !

Thanks Marcus

I could go testing and racing this coming weekend, but the careful part of me says leave it a little longer - 2 days blasting around Forest Edge might be too much too soon.

Also Fartingkun is asking far too much for his trailer so it may be wiser to save the budget this weekend

Sorry dude - I would sell it cheaper but I am a slave to market forces !
Unless anybody has a nice cheap Mercedes Vito for sale ?

I did say you could borrow it though, maybe I should re-consider - hmmmm ?

Superliner II should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
On topic, i have injured my back a few times in badly fitting kart seats and on a rollercoaster. i found that if i losened my grip on the wheel a little bit and stopped useing my arms to brace me into the seat, which was putting pressure on the weak point in my lower back, the injuries stopped happening.

Ditto the rollercoaster although the fact that you get thrown about like a rag doll in it and have no choice but to brace yourself has made me avoid big old ones like the one i was on at the Six Flags Park in Forth Worth Texas. It was old as hell and had little in the way of back support for the passengers other than a bar that was only there to stop you flying out. The more modern rollercoasters have much better support, you are really pinned into them. The same goes for a kart seat, the tighter the fit the better.

Now i only injure my back when i carelessly lift the kart on to that bloody kart trolly i've been threatening to lower for ages.

I also get the problem, I think the best solution for me is to use as much sponge as possible between the seat and my back. Another thing that Superliner II mentioned was loosening the grip and using your arms, after twenty minutes or so my hands are shaking as I get out and my forearms need a bit of arnica to get sorted out.
