Stream works fine but live timing shows 1st practice times... I wonder why MST never get those thingies working. It can't be so hard.

Aye, do we know if anything serious was up with his car or if they were just being extra careful checking over it?

Great to see Priaulx on top, I was a little concerned that he might not grab pole for this weekend's race as he is in a 1 car team and therefore might have had problems getting a decent tow off of someone and we all know how much differnce a good tow can make around Monza, still he grabbed pole and by quite a margain too in touring car terms. Nice too to see Zanardi and Thompson up inside the top 6, Zanardi really seems to be getting to grips with the car now.

Gap between pole position and number 15th on the grid is less than a second. It's very close.

Did Priaulx receive a tow at all ? Only saw the latter part of his lap on Eurosport, and if he didn't that was a very good time, because Muller received one from Thompson apparently.
Is there any truth in what Martin Haven was saying about Muller and the Oreca SEAT team ? He stated that Yvan Muller got to pick who his team mate was and said I'll have Thommo please!! ?? General feeling seems to be those two and Oreca are working better than the 4 car SEAT sport team. What happened to Ryan Sharp too ? Last I heard on Eurosport he was 7th! |

Dont expect too much from Ryan, hes a decent driver but IMO nothing special. He had 1 good year in Formula Renault V6 and then a terrible season last year competing in GP2 and WSR and really failed to get anywhere.

An interesting first race with Priaulx winning, but with shining SEAT behind.

I really enjoyed the race, some good moves and I enjoyed watching the slipstreaming battles. I think Dirk Mullers behaviour when Thompson was alongside was a bit suspect however, but I suppose I am a bit biased. Good moves from both Yvan and James to get past Dirk though.
The only thing that spoilt it was the commentary (suprise suprise) was it our old friend back once again by any chance? He contstantly called the wrong car and kept giving Yvan the wrong name, which got very annoying. |
