Circuit hire is probably cheaper, and as the Bridge Circuit is slightly shorter they'll need slightly less Marshalls.

In the past the refuelling has been done in the support race assembly area which would probably have caused problems using the Arena Circuit, but it's being done in the pits this year, so no problem there.

It's always a bit slow, i think in previous years they put a provisional entry list in the week leading up to the race.

Yup, we all know that entry lists change right up to the moment the eventy starts, but it would be nice to have an idea of the depth and quality, and quantity of course!

Numbers and variety are good - I am a bit surprised by the almost complete lack of Porsches, though.

Also: What's the performance envelope for the "GT4"-class? On the one hand, there's Thorne's M3 GT3 in there and then there's Seat Supercopas, with a good number of real GT4-cars in between. Seems hardly fair to me.

Bit suprised with Strata 21/ Paul White as they have been running to good effect the ex ALMS and latterly Strakka M3 GTR that ran so well in the 24hrs in 08 recently. But are entered in a Mosler. Also no Paragon 911 RSR.

Mosler is a good choice, did win it the first year.

That is a fantastic looking car. I saw it last year at the Into the night race at Brands last year. It makes a fantastic noise with its Corvette 7l engine but maybe a bit fragile, it didn't last long at Brands.

Timetable, Entry List and Garage Plan can be found at http://britcar24hr.co.uk/cms/e107_pl...php?content.53

I'm guessing that the red entries in the Garage Plan are provisional entries, would be even better if they firmed up!

Regarding the course layout.. if I recall correctley, in previous years much of the track was not open to spectators anyway.. so it might not make that much difference to visitors anyway

The whole course is open during the day, they only close the farther out bits when it gets dark for safety reasons.

That would make sense, I went to go for a walk in the middle of the night and the chap in the orange told me the circuit was closed from copse to bridge... though I do seem to recall disappearing off into the darkness anyway to walk round the track, but I've normally had a few medicinal slugs from the hip flask by the time the nightime mist descends - and as such I can't even remember which year it was I've been in '06, '07, '08 and the disappointing '09 500. Looking forward to a full length race

Yeah I found out in 08. Our group had ventured out at the start, then got a phone call from a couple of others who had popped back to the car for supplies and were not allowed to re-join us.
